Visiting CA, and wanted to try some Nigerian food. I was impressed with the portions and when I say it was a hit! I mean, I made sure to take the leftovers. There was no licking of the plate, but there was definitely licking of the fingers. We were told the food is a hit or miss, and I’m glad we went on the “hit” day. That’s all. That’s it.
Been craving some good african food and found Veronica's on Google. Even thought the reviews were 50/50 I though it was the best reviews out of the other options.First of all I tried the Egushi stew and fufuall I can say is every bite was wonderful on my pallet. My friend got the rice and chicken stew (chicken was good but the legs they serve looked like turkey legs) it was okay.Gave a 3 star only because the place needs upgrade and the wait time isn't good. Better to order first. Will be going back!!!
Love this place! the food was amazing i was on a business trip in LA for just a day needed to find a place for lunch and this place completely served my needs. i ordered Egusi soup with pounded yam & Jollof rice.. yes i thought they were small plates unfortunately they were huge, everything is freshly made from the minute u order which is sweet! the food was very affordable was able to save for dinner with it being a very large amount given. overall 100% recommend. would love to have an authentic Nigerian "veronica's restaurant" near me in Tampa Florida. cant wait for my next visit to CA to visit your grounds again. Thank you!
absolutely authentic and delicious ? ? ?
When visiting California try out Veronica's restaurant taste that nice Nigerian taste I enjoyed most of their dishes. Am Leedell and I enjoyed the nice spices in their different dishes.
Worst service in the history of worst services. I placed an order 2HOURS in advance, drove all the way from Orange County to pick it up in Inglewood (if you from LA you know how bad that drive can be) only to be told one of my main orders isn’t available and I would have to wait ANOTHER 40mins for the rest.Lady, hire more cooks, prep beforehand or something because this is ridiculous. I wouldn’t mind waiting usually because the food is good but wait AND be expensive? Not coming back here again. Food is good but the hassle is not worth it. At all.
The customer service of most of the staff is very poor and the portions have been depleted substantially but the prices have seemed to go up. Also, when you make phones orders, they tell you your food will be ready in 40 minutes, but you end up waiting 1.5 to 2 hours for your food. They have to do better.
Incredible, delicious, and the owner is so loving, warm, and kind. Best Nigerian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Nice setting and you can dine in. They also gave me extra plantain
I came to this place because it is good and known for their Nigerian food. I had a little disappointed in the place as its a bit run down, and does not seem like they clean the table well, it was a bit sticky, and a little uncomfortably dirty (as a few yelpers I noted here agrees with this). When I gotten the food, I had ordered the bread, and there was hair that were entwined into the breading and it was a little confusing mid-bite seeing it. They replaced it with a new one but didn't quite apologize, just said - oh, and took it inside of their kitchen. They do not offer glasses or cups of water, you do have to buy a bottle of water if you want them, even for dine-in, which I was surprised to. We came together with a group of 10 people, and ordered a little bit of each, the dishes are interesting and very flavorful. Their customer service however can use better deal, but again - I dont think people come here for their customer service or cleanliness, bur rather for their food.Lots of street parking, and is a easy find place, just know the main door is on the side.
Came in with my partner waiting for service and no one was around to help for a while, so we sat ourselves down and I found this baby roach on the table dead. This place is not clean. I wasn’t able to have their food after this… my partner however decided to order anyways and thought it was good, not great.
