Another must-go spot when in L.A.Fried Chicken and Waffles is such a good combo. Ordered Scoe #1, 1/4 Chicken with Waffles and honestly it's amazing. It came with wings and breast, and it was delicious, Chicken was spot-on and I seriously finished the stacks of Waffles because it was that good.Service is also excellent and very friendly as always.Until next time!
A nasty mess. That could not have been mac and cheese. And I don't like feathers on my bird. I live in the south. We know good food. That place needs a revamp. Popeyes got them beat hands down.
Bit of a long wait but nothing to drastic. Guessing because of the location. Food was inexpensive and worth it! Really felt homey and nice. Definitely will be going back.
What an incredible breakfast! Some of the best fried chicken we’ve had. (Even my southern wife was impressed). We had The Stubby and The Carol C. That allowed us to share a waffle, biscuit, grits, and eggs along with 2 pieces of fried chicken each. Everything was down home authentic and satisfying. When we arrived at 8 AM, we were the only patrons in the restaurant. Shortly after arriving, the place filled up quickly. If staying in a LAX hotel, you should consider Roscoe’s for your breakfast destination.
This is the LAX Special. 3 legs, cornbread & Black-eyed peas over rice (watery and not very tasty); however, it's not salty. It was almost soupy and a spoon would be better used than a fork. As far as the legs, they were somewhat dry, and the hot sauce looked watered down and runny, so I ended up using my own Louisiana hot sauce. You can tell the difference. Very nice presentation but I wouldn't order it again.
What's not to like? This is a SoCal icon that caters to locals and tourists alike. Loved the chicken and waffles selections here. The syrup made everything pop. It is also a great place for planespotting at LAX.
Disappointed. My expectations were high. Place seems to be overrated. My first time trying this and It lacks flavor. No seasoning or salt were used for my chicken and the grits were also bland. The only good thing were the waffles. If you happen to go I recommend you get the Natalie special with two waffles. And the sunset drink to wash it down or just plain ice water. Other than that save your money and go somewhere else. 2 stars for the waffles.
Roscoe's is a Los Angeles classic. One of the "food" places I think of when I think of Los Angeles is Roscoe's. Sadly, the food itself isn't that great. Or maybe I'm just expecting too much. I ordered the chicken sandwich and it just taste like a rusty spoon "diner" Sandwich. I think the only thing setting it a part was Roscoe's own hot sauce recipe. We probably used half a bottle during this meal. You can slather the chicken in it, and frankly it kind of needs it, without it, the breast is very dry. The corn bread was really good, but I'm biased towards corn bread. The Mac and cheese was ok, it could probably use more cheese. I go back to this traditional feeling food. This place has been around for a long time. I just don't think it's really updated it's menu since it first opened. Also, these two meals cost $50, it's way over priced for what you're getting.
We went because it’s a tourist staple. I had the whole wing combo with mac ‘n cheese and collard greens. It was not comparable to southern soul food, but it was okay. I probably wouldn’t return.
I am from Michigan and my fiancé was talking about this place and wouldn't stop so during our visit on the last day we decided to stop and get food lol. We waited in line for about 45 minutes, but it was worth it. We both got the Obama special-3 wings and 1 waffle. I really liked it no complainants!
