This restaurant's food is a little taste of Heaven. If you enjoy Caribbean food, this cuisine is very similar. I ordered the oxtail stew, where the chef had added English curry to the broth. My wife ordered the fish fry, which had a lush tomato sauce on the side. Everything was perfectly cooked -- her fish was flaky and delicious, and my stew was rich and flavorful. Our dishes came with plantains and rice and beans. They take orders through a window, and they have tables outside to eat at.Come hungry!
Food is delicious. But, the customer service is the worst. Not worth the effort.
They have lots of tasty veg options that are noted on the menu with a green heart. I had the garnaches (tostadas with beans, cheese, and salsa) and a ducunu (a sweet corn tamal), along with a delicious coffee. As of late February, there was only outdoor dining but it was a nice quiet sidewalk and the staff was very friendly.
It was okay. I ordered the ox tails. Ox talks were pretty good. There were a couple of big pieces that had spots that weren't that tender. Besides that, the ox tails were good. The plantains were very dry. The rice and beans was bland but had great texture (not over or under cooked). Potato salad was OK.
I ordered the passes and stew chicken dinner. The dinner was big! The passes were perfect! I'll keep coming back!
This is how I received my food that I ordered both of my Ducunu was completely burnt and my plantain was rock hard nuh let me start on the oxtail only slimy. I wouldn't even give a homeless person this rass I spent 44$ on this nasty plate I would never eat or order from here again and the cook who made this rass count your days I should of went to the blue whole
I love the food at little belize. Real authentic belizean food. I ordered stew chicken with rice and beans and potato salad. My friend ordered oxtail tails with plantains and a meat pie.
First time customer today. My family and I really enjoyed the oxtail, rice and beans, potato salad, and plantain plate. The oxtail were juicy and flavorful. We are definitely returning and want to thank you for such great food and service.
I used to love their food 5 stars until I came in November. It tasted like they hired a new chef, so let me tell you how that went. The potato salad didn’t taste like the belizean potato salad it tasted like something from Ralph’s and unsalted or like ice, cold and flavorless. The rice and beans didn’t have any seasoning, the stew chicken sauce wasn’t even seasoned in fact the chicken looked greener than usually from over using the green bell peppers. It tasted as if the person who made this plate had Covid and lost their taste buds and is paying us back by giving us this chancy meal.
The food was ok the prices are crazy. $15 for a small plate of rice and beans with chicken. If the food was like “we jamming” with that real Caribbean taste. I wouldn’t mind paying such high prices. $5 for some Greasy spongy like consistency tamales. If this is now the trend in Los Angeles with belizean restaurants. Charging so much for a little plate of half Mek belizean food for an arm and leg. I rather save mi money fly dah Belize and eat authentic Belizean food.Made with love clean ingredients And serve with a smile, not that stank attitude most belizean restaurants in Los Angeles have. Please make sure the quality of your food match the price.
