I don't usually leave reviews if the food is bad, but this time I have no choice. My boyfriend and I are 04/03/22 here last night we Googled soul food in Inglewood this place came up so we thought we give it a shot because bits in walking distance from our home . I got mac and cheese, Greens, yams, cornbread and fried chicken. The greens were cooked nice but they were soaked in vinegar. The corn bread was good, the Mac and cheese was old and scraped from the bottom of the pan.my boy friend had a chicken sandwich it was good. They had games to play while we wait dominoes, cards, and uni the table was sticky and not clean. The place was clean. We will not be going back.To the owners you will not stay in business if you continue to serve food this way. The food was seasoned good but prepared poorly. Please get it together I don't like leaving bad reviews but you all deserve one. We paid to much for a dinner plates and a chicken sandwich .
Worst waffle I’ve ever taste in my life! The chicken also had sugar on it! Who puts sugar on chicken!? I do not recommend spending your money here definitely a waste.
Disgusting. Worst “soul food” ever. Dry corn bread, dry rice and beans, flavorless barely cheesy Mac n cheese, dry flavorless chicken. I was looking forward to yummy southern food and was beyond disappointed. Worst $$ spent
The fries. OMG! Thick cut and well seasoned. Whatever herb is on those fries (I would guess oregano) so delicious. Smelled the greens upon entering the door. They had a sweetness that was unexpected, but still good. My soul good craving was satisfied. Will definitely be back!
I ordered what I thought would be a hearty, delicious dinner. ??♀️ My order included fried chicken, candied yams, mac and cheese, and cornbread. The yams are overly seasoned with cinnamon and appear to be from a can. The cornbread is very course, hard, and is definitely not fresh. The mac and cheese isn’t fresh either. It looks clumpy and has very little cheese. The chicken appears to have been fried pretty well, but is abundantly covered in a salty-looking seasoning. I’m very disappointed! This is not a business that I’d support again.
The food was terrible.
The staff were very nice but the Mac and cheese was dry, the greens were excellent, this restaurant only serves chicken wings but they are extremely small, the cornbread was reheated to the point that it was hard as a rock and I just threw it away, I picked this restaurant my husband was upset. We got the dinner special for 4 people we were going to the Rolling stones concert and drove from up north to attend.
THE absolute worst soul food. They messed up every side dish including banana pudding. I found this place after reading an article that said it was the best. A disgrace to soul food everywhere...Note: I did go at night, shortly before they closed so that may have contributed to the terrible quality. I tried to call the next day during business hours to speak to a manager but they never answered the phone.
We recommend everything on the menu. Cooked and Fried with a lot of love! Real Soul Food! Real Flavor! Add a “Comfort T” & “Granny’s Banana Pudding”. We know food. Trust us!
One of the best chicken places. Couldn't stop eating the wings. Greens were only second to my own.I loved the ginger aide drink, absolutely refreshing. Banana pudding was also cool. Everything about this place is amazing.
