Don’t know who the lady in all blue with the thick accent is but I TRULY LOVED HER TODAY! she checked my orders, assured me great tasting dish and very polite! I highly recommend this waitress for everything I forgot her name but great personality and service thank you soo much Aduke cuisine
Good food and I will order again, but lawd have mercy don’t order if you’re hungry. Order a good 1.5 hours BEFORE you’re hungry, because it takes that long to get it.Also make sure you check your order before you walk out. I didn’t receive some items I paid for. So I docked a star for that and the amount of time it takes.
Where do I begin. They took my order, told me it will be 30 minutes. After 1.5 hrs, I ask what’s happening, apparently they had never submitted my order. They made me wait for 2 hours before I had to go and ask them for a refund because they were not giving me my food and they said if I give them 20 more minutes they’ll try to make it quicker. So more than 2.5 hrs later I get my order. They are FRUSTRATINGLY slow and the man with a bald spot on his head is probably one of the worst employees i’ve ever seen. So SLOW my goodness, and they kept lying to customers the whole time. Everyone there was frustrated and asking for a refund so they could just leave. I’ve never ever seen such TERRIBLE service. I never write reviews but I just had to. The amount of frustration that customers get is not worth the time and energy. I’d rather take a flight to Nigeria and get some food there than go to this place again.
Absolutely amazing experience! I saw this restaurant on tik tok and immediately wanted to try it. It was the first place we went to when visiting LA and it was better than I could’ve ever expected! Portions are definitely worth the price as well as authenticity. Auntie is an amazing woman who loves what she does! Definitely go check it out! I will be coming back every time I visit LA. Amazing food and AMAZING customer service.
Service, AMAZING. Atmosphere, AMAZING. Food!?!! AMAAAAAAZING!!!!!!! We were the only ones at the restaurant at the time we went but the amount of to go orders received while we were there was insane. If you don't want to wait around 45 minutes for your food (there are signs everywhere stating wait times so don't go in there acting surprised) I recommend ordering take out. Like I said, we gladly wait about 40 minutes for our food, 2 dishes and a side of plantains. The food was piping hot and the fufu was so soft a fluffy! My 1 year old daughter loved the plantains, the fufu, and the efo riro with chicken. My husband got the curry goat and he also loved his food. A little bit on the spicy side for him but I think it made the dish even better. Definitely coming back here!!
I love African restaurants but the way they do business is frustrating. Some days you call when they claim to be open. No one answers. Some days you can call 5 times or more and won't get through to anyone. Finally got through to someone. They say call to put in your order, pick up will be easier. When I called at 4pm They put me on hold twice and after 15 minutes of holding they take the order and said to be there in an hour. I arrived at 5pm and had to wait another hour and 30 minutes to get my food. It's was frustrating. Then when I got my order, asun, moi moi, gizdodo, egusi and fufu. The asun was literally $7 pieces of goat meat not spicy at all for $25. Ridiculously priced for that amount of food. The moi and egusi was good but after all the wait and frustrating customer service you don't even want to return. Please improve your business it needs it badly. For the amount of money they make they could get more staff to cut wait time, even a better eating environment. I'm sorry the restaurant is dingy and too small. Hence the constant take away customers.
It was my very first time trying food at Adukes tonight! I went with my 9ja friend! I had a blast!! The food was delicious and the customer service was wonderful! I got the Asaro with fried fish. I was hoping that I could get the beef suya with it.. but I couldn't, and that was fine. No wahala. I'll just have to come back again one day and get the beef suya. But the meal was so tasty! I'd highly recommend this place!! And there's even traditional clothing for sell in the store too!! I'll be back again!Blessings! ?
First time eating Nigerian food and it was SUCH a GREAT first experience! I got egusi and fufu and it was so bomb! The food tastes great and the staff were the nicest people I’ve ever met. Definitely coming back!
Lol where do I begin. I just went in to pickup food less than an hour ago. First time getting their food and I was mad excited to try their ewa aganyin since the beans itself has a special stew. On their menu, it says it comes with its special stew but little do I know, it was a regular stew. Biiigggg disappointment. If I’d known it comes with regular stew, I would have made it myself at home. The stew I make at home even tastes better than this stew lol. I also ordered fried rice, which tastes more like Indian rice because it’s filled with curry. The two Moi Moi I ordered look like roasted plantains and I paid $10 for the Moi Moi. I have two stars only because my brother kinda liked the peeper soup I got for him. Yea never again. Only ordered here because I was going to use them for a catering next month but not going to happen. Don’t let the pictures you see on IG fool you lol because they definitely fooled me. We need better Nigerian restaurants in LA. This is sad.Had to come back and edit my review. The food tastes like trash. It’s painful to eat. My husband is laughing at me that I should have made the food myself ?. Previously gave two stars but I’m taking one star away. Complete waste of money.
I don’t like giving businesses bad rating but I must say I was disappointed with the food I got. The jollof rice was really yummy as it had a smoky flavor to it but the rest of the food had fault in it. The Ayamase sauce was just too spicy, it needs to be toned down a little bit, the food has a heavy heat added to it, the moimoi I bought was burnt on the body. I ordered 3 different stews with mixed meat and I would have expected to get chicken, beef and goat mixed since that is what mixed meat is, but in all 3 different stews, I got a lot of liver, few meat and beef fat and cow skin instead. The pounded yam I got wasn’t sealed properly and so air got in half of it since it was exposed and made it dry and hard. Lastly the payment method could be made easy, paying through cash app and zelle doesn’t look good on the business in terms of professionalism. There are very few Nigerian restaurants in La and I hold Aduke’s kitchen to high standard because I have been here in the past and have had good food but this mistakes made were very avoidable. The food is expensive so the service should match the price.
