Great place, Jaime and Tayla great to have on your team, Jaime served some great drinks, the chili Verde is great and shrimp tacos are awesome, very clean, 5 star restaurant. We will definitely talk this place up to our friends when visiting the area.
This restaurant has some really good dishes and my absolute favorite is the Shrimp Costa Azul (prawns stuffed with crab & cheese, wrapped with bacon. Served with rice and chipotle crema). Their Margaritas are very tasty and it's nice to take advantage of happy hour during the summer (4:00 to 5:30). It is pricey but that's what you get when you're near La Quinta.

Ordered the vegan fried avocado tacos. Pretty good but could use some more flavor and spice. Salsa was pretty bland. Server was great, friendly and helpful.
Service was extremely slow and the food was mediocre at best. Chipotle is better, seriously, The queso fundido had a floury texture and no flavor, The guacamole had no flavor, and the pico the gallo looked old. The tacos were bland. The only good thing was the small portion of rice. Also, the bill wasn't even itemized, We will not go back even though we are walking distance to it.
This is our second time eating at Tu Madres and we were so disappointed both times. Our Tortilla soup came out cold and was blended which we didn't like. No chunks of chicken or anything...My Tequila lime shrimp tacos were bland and cold. They had no flavor and the shrimp waa cooked so weird. I've had better shrimp tacos from Rubios.My husband had the deep fried avocado tacos and said his was okay. Very over priced. We ordered a kids quesadilla which the kids menu said was 11.95. When we got the bill we were charged 13.95 for a plain quesadilla...didn't realize until we got home.Our spicy grilled pinneaple margaritas were soooo tasty but I ended up with the worst headache of my life later so I'm guessing the $14 drink was made with cheap tequila. Not impressed we won't be back. Heirloom the restraunt nexdoor was hoppin' we will try them next time!
We had a party of 8 and everyone loved their food. Unique, innovative menu. Lots of flavor! We will come again.

Margaritas, queso dip, and decor were great. Service was slow, but understandable with staffing issues. Only thing that bothered me was meat portion size with tacos. It would have been nice to be satisfied on tacos alone, not have to order multiple courses.
