Wowza! The service was amazing, thank you Norma and German. We sat at the bar, warm chips and delicious salsa immediately arrived, as did Norma with a beautiful smile. Drinks were great, no skimping in the pour here. The food arrived quickly and was perfection, chile rellanos and enchiladas, even the beans and rice were excellent. For a busy Friday night on a holiday weekend they really had it together. We are from New Mexico and hard to please when Mexican food is involved, we would definitely return.

I Love your restaurant best food ever very good customer service very friendly people associates that work there you guys are amazing I would recommend this restaurant to anybody that love Mexican food I give it a 10 thumbs up amazing ??????

Love this place. Great food.

It had been many years since we last ate at Pueblo Viejo Grill, mainly because we don't spend as much time in Indio these days. We remembered it as quite good and obviously the locals also think so since it was packed and when people were told "30 to 35" or "40 to 45 minute wait", they waited. From the employees behavior, it being this busy was normal. Anyway once we were seated our server was quick to show up and make sure she had a drink order. Then came the chips and salsa, which were good. My wife had Arroz con Pollo and was quite happy with her choice. I had Camarones Rancheros and was also happy with my choice. It looks like the good deal here is to come in on Tuesday or Thursday, when the fajitas are on special. Anyway we were happy and could see why the locals were willing to wait.

Very popular, very hip, very crowded, very noisy, very small restaurant, excellent food. On a Saturday evening, our first time here, with no reservations we were told 40 minute wait to be seated. We waited 45. After being seated we were told kitchen is busy so expect a delay. I don’t know how long we waited. It was worth the wait. Our enchiladas and taco were great! The enchiladas were smothered in enchilada sauce just the way we like them. We hate dry enchiladas. The chicken taco was crunchy and very flavorful. Rice and beans were exquisite. Everything was cooked to perfection and served at the correct temperature, not too hot and not too cold on very hot plates. A word about the staff - hostess and waiter, initially, were unfriendly and matter-of-fact stressed by the overload of work from an overcrowded restaurant. After 9 pm, when all customers, who were waiting, were finally seated, we finally got a smile and a friendly word from our waiter. On our way out we thanked the hostess and got her to smile and be friendly. Would we do this again??? Yes we would!

Oh my, this is what we were looking for. Authentic Mexican dining is hard to find in Austin (Tex-Mex) Texas and we could not find a good spot. This is it, full stop. Fantastic atmosphere and you are welcomed like family.Ask for Joel when you arrive :).

I liked the atmosphere, the bar area is nice to have a beer and appetizers, they do have a happy hour menu from 3-5pm. The food was OK not bad not super good, it was just OK. The service was good. The food its not authentic mexican food, but more like mex-american. We will be back to try other dishes and see how we feel about it. A+ on the rice it was cooked on point and fluffy.

I have been to both locations. Every time I have stopped to eat there the service is great and the food is amazing.

Have eaten here several times. Service is very good. Place is dark so had to use flashlight app on phone to read menu! Food is very good (try combo #6 and the fajitas).

Drinks for happy hour were good. Friends made us go here and we did not regret it. Food was great big portions. The chips and dip were probably one of the best we have had. I had fish tacos grilled with rice and beans I could of had just the fish tacos happy hour no rice and beans lots to eat.everyone felt the same way.
