Their menu changes a lot, I loved the jalapeño brisket nachos. I went back for it and they offered all those ingredients in different menu items but they refused to make it.. I ordered some other type of regular nachos and although they were delicious I was still very bummed out that they didn't have my favorite.. I love their spicy burgers.. I hope they don't change that either! The wait to sit down was way too long! 40 minutes and by then you could hear people's stomachs getting hungry and everyone impatient, the wait for the food is about 25 minutes for appetizers.. I love the food but next time I'm not showing up on an empty stomach to wait an hour for food.
I went there last week for dinner and although I arrived at 10 apparently two waitresses were on break. Which meant waiting for table while staring at 6 or 7 open tables.Lucky for me a couple of people got up in the bar, and I was able to sit down there and order some food and drink. Now it could be my decisions on what I ordered, but the food was mediocre at best.
First we tried to order online … well that was impossible to do . It wouldn’t let u order the two side salads after attempting 4 times … kept saying to order appetizer even though wanted the salads. Finally after 15 mins , I called order in. Told it would be ready in 12 mins. Left right away to pick up curbside. Waiter asked for name , then 20 mins later came back and said no order . Husband came home 13 min drive very mad .. I called back and said oh they found our order that now has been sitting there for 40 mins. Then told by manger he could give me a discount and they’d remake it . This is now 1 hr 15 mins after I first tried ordering … said no u can give it to me for free. Told it now would be ready for my husband to drive back to restaurant. Manager said they could call my landline when ready … like then food would sit for 30 mins as husband drove there and back … now that would make sense … said well can’t tell u exactly when order will be ready … I said r we talking 15 mins, 30 mins or an hour ? I have a dairy , gluten allergy so said no cheese on my salad. Get the order home and it’s meals cold ( never was remade) and cheese covering my salad .The fiesta chicken had a good taste but chicken was so thin and it already was tough and stringy as I’m sure they probably miked it and I then had to mike it again as cold . If I could give less than a 1 I would have . Two weeks ago ordered the ribs and they were not good either . Will not order from Indio Applebee’s again .

Our first time to Applebee's in Indio on 111 over by Arabia. The ribs and garlic mash we ordered were so good! The place though was slammed and had a 45m wait for dining there. So glad we placed an online order to go. This crowd may be the reason the male host was acting surly when I asked him where to pick up my order. He just walked off. I finally had to track him down. And that's why it's not a 5 star review. I did find where my order was waiting eventually. The lady there apologized for the wait. I'm sure we will order from this location again.
Only reason its 2 is because our first experience here was great, 2nd time, we ordered online and there was 2 items missing from our order(nothing big, just apple juice and soup)the bad part was the food wasnt as great as our 1st experience here, only good thing we ate was the fries
Had steak and garlic mashed potatoes. Also a brownie bite for dessert. It was all pretty good. I was a bit partial to brownie. Just a nice size as the meal was pretty filling. Also had a tipsy reindeer drink. Was good!
Terrible waiting time to sit you down and bring your food out. Not many servers so service is awful. Don't get me wrong some servers are really nice it just takes forever for them to go back to your table. Ordered the steak and even though I got it medium so it can be a little more tender it was really rough so I didn't eat the steak and I was not planning on waiting another hour for them to give me a new one.
Unfortunately I personally have had bad luck with this location long waits and orders not being complete, this effects is as drivers inanyany ways. I visit this location quite a bit so I'm hoping I will be lucky enough to have a great take out experience and will evaluate once again when I do, because the other locations are great and the help are always very nice.
Just ate at this location and found worms on my salad. Happened so quick. Server took salad back to the manager and said there was nothing they could do. They did offer me to get something else but at this point you really want to eat something else. No. And they told me theyd remove it from the check. Whelp i am obviously not going to pay for a salad with worms. Never eating here. To make it worse i am breastfeeding .... id like to thank the owner of the applebees restaurants in the coachella valley for taking matters into his own hands and addressing the staff over the matter.
