Needs and update*Value for price *Already looking up the menu before coming, I knew what price I was in for.After my evening I felt that food quality, service and ambiance needs sprucing up.My first suggestion, would be to update your plates & glassware. Food presentation for me is what I want to show off on my Instagram !Plates looked worn and my wine glass was chipped at the lip.
We just arrived for an early Mother's Day dinner at the Black Trumpet. It used to be one of my mother's favorite restaurants but after tonight's experience we are never coming back. We've been coming for years and started at their original location. We had reserved a table in the corner and were assured that that is the table we would have. We never had an issue before and their service was always impeccable.However, tonight, we were denied the table we had reserved. When my mother asked, some of the servers whom we've known for a while said they would ask and shouldn't be a problem. The owner denied the request. We asked why and they could not give us an answer. The answer was no. The owner eventually came to speak to my mother himself and again said no. He said we can never come back and that's fine with him.Rudeness aside, this is Mother's Day. My mother's health isn't great to begin with and sometimes it's difficult for her to come out to have dinner with us. This was a rare opportunity for her to come out and celebrate a day for her. Instead we were met with an inconsiderate owner who was rude, dismisisve, and does not possess any empathy. I'll miss the food here, but I cannot eat an establishment owned by such a terrible individual.
Phenomenal.... my compliments to the FOH BOH. I highly recommend. If you like good food & good drinks, this is the place!
