Kind of disappointed with our experience at The Backhouse. We waited a bit before we were acknowledged by any of the staff to be seated. Once we were met by an employee, he told us we could come in, as if it was our fault for waiting. The bartender and who were assumed were the manager did their best, but service was sub par. We waited for our last sushi roll +15 min after the rest of our rolls came out and had to remind the waiter we were missing items. Our first set of sushi rolls were dropped off, and when we asked the gentlemen who seated us(rudely) what rolls they were he said “I don’t know, dropped them on the bar” and walked away….. food was good, and idk if the one waiter was just having a day, but the attitude was not part of what we ordered and would have been totally ok to 86.
This is one of our favorite sushi spots. The view is amazing, the staff is always very welcoming, and the managers ensure you have a great time! The staff makes sure we get some sushi options, even though we are vegetarian. Thank you Carlos :) definitely try the garlic edamame and veggie tempura roll!
Amazing sushi and service with great view. Perfect Sunday spot to relax and watch Football . Manager is on point with recommendations.. the Crazy Roll and the HB Roll (off the menu.. ask for it).

Quality of sashimi is great, quality of presentation is questionable.They have the entire front section of the restaurant used for a service area, fail.For a upscale experience I would prefer not to ever use cheap break apart chopsticks or paper plates while dining in, I think it cheapens the experience of dining. Sushi presentation is not great, messy.Servers dress is simple should be more tailored.
Amazing spot, great food & Saki!
We went for the sushi and we were not disappointed. Our server recommended the peppered tuna roll and it was perfect. The sashimi sampler is great if you can't decide. Everything felt like it melted upon my taste buds.
Had some issues with my online order but they took care of me and got me my food. Food taste amazing! Will be going back!
The service was exceptional great. Our waiter and the other support staff were very attentive. Also, the food was very delicious.
Peter, the bartender was really cool and provided awesome atmosphere. Order his housemade sangria! Ricardo, i think that's his name, was really attentive and considerate! Food is a little pricey, but amazing service overall! Would definitely visit again
