Well I have to hand it to our hostess and server Marlee. An impressive young lady who immediately made us feel welcome got a seated and had our drinks taken care of in less than two minutes. The helpful suggestions that followed would make for one of those wonderful dining experiences I’ve had in a while.I had the 55 Chevy which is your traditional hamburger but I couldn’t get onions because I’m allergic to those lol but no problem I made sure to get myself some good old American tater tots with the side of the horseradish sauce which was delicious, and catch up.My friends joining me had to have the crispy buffalo chicken burger which was tremendously delicious, and my other friend had the truffle burger but let’s not forget the one thing that started the whole dining experience off… The party froze the dining room was exceptionally wonderful as it is outdoors right across from Huntington Beach we would’ve stayed longer if we could’vehats off to Marley and the staff they took such good care of us will most certainly be returning but I need at least five days of constant cardio to work out the 400 pounds of tater tot’s today easily ate..
We came for the beers and they have an excellent selection and knowledgeable staff. We started at the bar while we waited for a table. The bartender and hostess were friendly and helpful. When we were seated the table was dirty and sticky, but it was mostly outside so I can forgive it. The waitress messed up our order -almost seemed drunk as she took away a half a plate of nachos from the table that we were still eating- we had only ordered appetizers- so we were confused by her. We noticed her taking some shots by the bar, which seems like normal practice as other staff were as well.
The American Dream is a great restaurant for some good bar food and drinks. We enjoyed the Party Fries, which are loaded down with cheddar cheese, grilled onions and thousand island dressing. So filling! Large portions! The Truffle Mushroom Mac & Cheese was overflowing and delicious. We sat outside that had lots of heaters if the weather is chilly. Conveniently located in Pacific City.
The view was great. I had the mac n cheese. Wasn't the best and not the worst. A little runny, not much flavor. The burgers and beer were good.
Came with a group on a Sunday afternoon. Service was friendly and we didn’t have to wait long. Highly recommend the truffle fries and Impossible Burger. Group’s favorite was the Prosciutto Burger which comes with Buratta and pesto. One note: servers, staff, and majority of clientele weren’t wearing masks, so be forewarned.
Highly recommended to get their mac and cheese. The hamburger was ok. The breakfast burrito was delicious. I wish when we visited they had a few ipa’s on tap. Other than that, the waitress that served us was great. Love the restaurant cleanliness and the views of the beach.
Really enjoyed this burger and the mods you can make in orders. I actually asked for the BBQ Impossible Burger with cheddar cheese and regular BBQ sauce, rather than the vegan cheese and sauce it came with. The fries were excellent, and I was really tempted to get the Buffalo Cauliflower. I would definitely return. Service was friendly and attentive.
Great burgers. Great view. Really loved the macaroni n cheese experience and the beer. Would highly recommend.
Overall, good food and service. Slow to bring it out, but not too bad. Pricy. Wife and I got a burger each and one side of fries to share, with two ice teas and it was $50 bucks.Not Covid friendly as sitting customers right next to each other..about 2 feet apart...and no masks on some employees.Got the Chicken Parm with well done fries. All very good. I would go again.
We had a ice lunch here. We sat in the bar are, it is kind of inside but open. My wife had the vegan burger lettuce wrap and I had the bbq burger, both were really good. Our fries were good but salty. The bartender/server was good and had good knowledge of the menu. The place has really good views. We will definitely be back.
