First time at Pelican Isle. Had combo fish plate. Delicious drinks good, service not so much. Name not on store signs. Not easy to find. Worth the effort.
Recommend by Sean at the Ocean Surf Inn, we walked there. It didn't looked like a restaurant from the front(?) with just a small door and a sign, but once inside, it's a lively bar and a casual but full service restaurant with a great menu offering a wide selection of food. You can dine inside or outside by a marina. All the staff were so nice and very attentive, and the food was very good! Kinda surprised me. We would love to come back when in the area.
Went to grab lunch with a friend and her 7 year old son. We wanted a nice view and good service. View was nice service was not. We waited to be approached to have our name taken for seating. Then when seated we were not offered menus. We waited about 15 minutes...no waters no menus. I approached the young lady up front and asked for menu's. She apologized for spacing and gave me the menu's. Another 15 minutes later no server. I again had to ask for a server. I'm no Karen. We waited over 30 minutes to be acknowledged after being seated. Now I usually steer away from disheartening reviews and know how the restaurant industry has taken a hit the past few years bit at some point I mean come on. This was the 3rd experience like this there. It's really hit or miss...usually a miss. And don't try the house Bloody Mary ?. It's a she people are settling for this type of service and food.
Nice locals place with a view. Sits on the Marina in Sunset Beach. CA. We went in the afternoon so it wasn't too crowded; the service and food were good, alfredo dinner and fish & chips. The crab cakes are good but use minced crab not whole pieces. Overall would recommend.
The area is really nice but the food is okay. We had a few things but nothing too memorable but nothing too bad either. It's a nice spot to chill. Drinks were a highlight. I didn't feel cheated on the amount. So I'd say go get a few drinks, enjoy the vibe then eat while you have a buzz.
Very nice! Food was great. I only suggest that in the morning, it would be nice if the plates were warmer as your food cools off fast!
Best local spot me and my family come here every Saturday. Havier and Juan are absolute treasures along with everyone else on the staff. Reliably good food and strong drinks.Ask for the Juanami!
I really enjoyed my experience here. Their food is amazing. I love clam chowder and they do it in a bread bowl. Which is fantastic. Friends who live on the east coast that came with me said it rivals the best out there. They have tons of tv's for watching games. It's right on the harbor so you can see the boats and adds to the ambience. Drinks are poured the way they are supposed too and not leave you wondering if there is alcohol in your drink. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We have been there for brunch before too and the breakfast were really good. I highly recommend this place
Great place to hang out with family and friends and have drinks, eat and enjoy the scenery on the water. Plenty of screens to watch sports as well and the service is great!
We go here quite often as the food is great and the staff amazing and very friendly. Only once in many years did we have an unpleasant experience (a few weeks ago) one of the new staff was playing gangsta rap and so we left.
