Friendly service, good eats
I don't like to leave bad reviews of small business. But at the same time, the customers are spending their hard earned money and deserve to get good food for their money. Went here about a month ago with my wife. The outdoor dining area was nice, servers nice, unfortunately the food was really really bad. I ordered the special, it was the lamb burger, with side of green bean salad. My wife got a salad. The burger was bad. The bun was something from 99 cent store. Meat like warm. Dry. The green beans literally a can of green beans dumped into a bowl, cold, mixed with ketchup like sauce. Not edible. The salad was also bad. The Greek sauce was not good. Tasted like it was a weird mix of ranch dressing. Beer was the only good part. About $100 for 2 people, 2 drinks. Left hungry, went to taco bell.
If you want authentic Greek food, this is the place. Olive Pit should be a top 25 places to visit for food when visiting southern Cali. The hummus is to die for, and I would highly recommend the gyro wrap, wrapped in the pita bread with a side of the basmati rice and sautéed mushrooms.I promise you won’t regret it. They also have a really good deal on bottles of wine on Wednesday as well!
Horrible experience. We will not return back to this place. We came in person to order take out and asked if they can put the fries in a separate container since it gets soggy when placed in the same box with the other food and without venting the container on the drive. The nice man who took our food order said that was no problem. But when we received our food the fries weren’t separated and already started getting soggy as it sat as it waited for the rest of our order to get prepared. We walked over to the counter and asked them to separate the fries. As we were waiting for them to make more fries (since they noticed the fries were already soggy), we overheard the manager mock us since we were wanting our fries separated and not soggy. We had kindly asked the man who took our order for this request and he kindly agreed, if he would of said this request wasn’t possible we could of found a solution. Hearing a manager mock a paying repeat customer to her associates was extremely uncalled for. What a disappointment, we will not be returning to this restaurant.
Yummy Greek food and kind servers
On our first visit here it started off not so well, the parking lot is small and spots get taken up fast in the front because of the Tama Sushi and the Pizza place neighboring the restaurant. So we drove around the back and parked there (near the apartments/employee's parking), we had our dinner and enjoyed it the food was really good. On our way back we noticed that some of the employees were drinking on the side of the building, which is whatever with me. However, what got me mad was catching what appeared to be a homeless man with striped/ripped pants urinating by our car's trunk, I told him off and he laughed and walked back towards the employees drinking. Because of this, we will not be back at the restaurant.
A friendly and welcoming place. Best for grill enthusiasts! The influence of the Greek taste is all over the menu.
Quality great tasting food.
Always so good. Only issue I ever had was missing salad dressing on a delivery. Otherwise dine is always spot on. Their hummus and tzatziki(sp) is to die for. Mediterranean salad with grilled chicken is perfection. Everything I've eaten has been great!
We are long time customers & absolutely love it here! Menu is fantastic, although we never get past our usual 6 faves...grilled octopus (every single visit), any of the amazing salads w/added protein such as grilled Salmon or Ahi. Love the artichoke, Greek fries sides as well as the greek grilled cheese. Hubby loves the Pastitsio (a classic Greek baked pasta, a must try!) If you like wine, Wednesday is 1/2 off all wine bottles--great if you have a table of 3 or more. A wonderful owner & great service staff. If you haven't been, GO!
