A fair pie, to be sure. Although I get the distinct taste of "Canned Pizza Sauce" definitely not like Hank's West Pizza on Beach Blvd near Heil Ave & Beach Blvd that I had earlier today. I purposely came here to Massimo's to do a live , fresh out of the oven comparison and I'm sorry Beach Lover's but Frank's West Kicked Massimo's "To The Curb" as a much better "Everything is 100% Homemade" Pie Shop. If you drop into Hank's it's a real "Hole in the Wall" Pizza Miracle. If your lucky they can seat 4 inside the Hole' and four out front. How and why do I have "The Stones" to say this review. I was born in Brooklyn NY and was their throughout the 60's when Italian Gangster's we're Real and the "Friggin Pizza" better be Dam Good or your business dies within literally weeks. So take it from a 100% Sicilian from Brooklyn NY. Hank's beats Massimo's "Bafangul" Hands ?
I tried Massimo's for a take-out order and was pleasantly surprised. My large pizza was half Massimo's Special, half BBQ Chicken. The Massimo's Special was fabulous! Their red sauce was soo good, as were all the toppings (cheese, pepperoni, mushrooms, green pepper, onion, and black olives). The BBQ Chicken did not impress me as much, as I found the amount of BBQ sauce used overpowering and the chicken was sliced thin, which I haven't seen before. I usually like to eat the crust, but theirs was fairly thin and hard, so I did not enjoy it. I would absolutely order the Massimo's Special again though! Make sure you bring cash, as they do not accept cards.
One of the best pizza I have ever had in orange county.
I have been searching for a place that has New york style pizza (Thin slice) and Massimo's is the best pizza I have tried outside of NYC. The crust is thin and crispy. The sauce is very delicious, they put just the right amount. The ingredients taste very fresh. I would have given this place 5 stars but the fact they are a cash only establishment is very inconvenient. Most of the time I don't carry cash. they do have an ATM machine but IT CHARGES A FEE. Very inconvenient. Once they add a credit card machine this place will be 5 stars. Also great location, few blocks from the beach.
Great “east coast” style pizza and subs. Only ding, cash only.
This is honestly one of the best pizza places on the West coast! Thin crust, NY style. Cash only! But sooo worth pulling money out of the ATM for!!
First, it is CASH ONLY!!! They do not accept card. You can use an ATM inside but there are going to be fees, so I decided to go to my Credit Union down the street to avoid fees from the ATM so I politely asked if they could make my meatball sandwich while I go get the cash. It takes a while and the sandwich comes out hot so I had plenty of time and they had verbally agreed they would start it. When I got back to the restaurant I find out the order wasn't started at all. They had a great rating online but the experience did not match.?

Welcome to great pizza! Had the pizza and lunch special, and left feeling well fed. Pizza was foldable (it's what NY'ers like to do with their pizza) and the crust perfect! Came with a large salad and drink. Nice lunch!Come with cash! There is an ATM if you forget! ☺️
That pipping hot pizza taste from Italy or NY lingers in your mouth, you don;t have to travel that far because Massimo Pizza has it and your taste buds will be satisfied everytime you take a bite of a slice. This place has the the ORIGNAL TASTE!!!!!!!!! Thanks Massimos you guys were great as always.
