Family run Middle Eastern restaurant in a strip mall. Very good food and the fresh warm pita bread is worth the drive. We have returned many times.
I have loved the food here for many years! Everything is very good and especially their Falafel is my favorite around here. I hadn't been there much during the pandemic maybe once during. It was towards the end and I realized they were now serving everything and go boxes and bagged. Okay remotely understandable for the pandemic. Back before the pandemic they used to serve everything are regular plates and with regular silverware if you were dining in. If I'm not mistaken they have changed ownership recently. But thank goodness the food has not changed it is still amazing! My one and only problem with them is the fact that they still serve everything as it would be to go and styrofoam in containers! Even if you are dining in. I don't understand why they haven't gone back to using real dishes and silverware. I feel this is a little bit of laziness on their part. A the dining experience is much better and of course and of course they did a little wear and tear on the environment. I probably would go back a lot more often but I don't just because of this.??
Delicious Mediterranean Food.We stumbled into this place and was surprised to see it was always busy.The owner learned from chefs all over the world. That explains the mix of pizza and Mediterranean food.The food is delicious and the portions are very generous. The fresh cooked pita is excellent and very large. We always take extra pita home. It used to be a smaller place but since there were so many customers they expanded the restarting and added a bakery and breakfast cafe.The family works together and the customer service is excellent.It’s also great for catering special events.We love the chicken shawarma. The seasoning is great and a large portion.Enjoy this hidden gem
I’ve been to many Mediterranean places around the area and this is my favorite. The portion size is great for the price and the food is delicious. I could eat here every day
I ordered the salmon kabob plate. The restaurant is tidy, clean, and service is good. However as you can see in my picture, the quantity of salmon is a bit startling, especially when the price is high.They quality of the salmon was great and very tender. The free bread servings were great. I overall had a good experience except the amount of salmon is not acceptable for the money I paid.I would have definitely given this place five stars had the amount of salmon been reasonable. I suggest you order the non-salmon items as they seem to give a bigger portion.
I was working in the area and decided to try this restaurant. I was really craving meat.I was left impressed. The lamb chops were great and juicy. The great amount of seasoning was great and it was and cooked perfectly.The bread was so soft and fluffy. Eating it with the rice and hummus was the perfect combination.Give this place a try if you’re craving Middle Eastern food.
I ordered no.19 and every single thing about my meal was done perfectly. I cannot overstate that enough .From the little mixed salad that had four or five vegetables, to the yogurt sauce, to the olive oil and herbs for the amazing pillowy bread that they serve with the meal, to the rice, to the hummus, to both kinds of meat I had ordered, everything was perfect. The flavors, the ingredients, the proportions, the preparation.The people who made this food know very well what they are doing and I will definitely be back.
If I could give this a 10, I would. The only small drawback is dealing with consistency. For example, they have the most phenomenal bread but some of the times it’s cold when they serve it up. And if you order a drink like a beer, you should not have to wait until the meal is served. Also, restrooms should have soap. Aside from that, I absolutely love this place. Will go back again and again and again and again and again
We got takeout from here for dinner. Everything was so delicious! The highlight was their flatbread. It's the size of a dinner plate! So fluffy along the edges and crispy in the middle. We got the vegetarian combo and the chicken shwarma plate. Everything was fantastic and the portions were huge.
Five stars for the pita bread alone! Recently discovered this restaurant and it immediately became my new fave spot for meditteranean. The Chicken Shawarma meal is amazing - love the dressing that comes with the salad! Nice portion! Hummus, rice, garlic sauce...all delicious! My boyfriend ordered a Greek salad with a chicken skewer on the side one time and was less than impressed. There were 4 small pieces of chicken and for the price - it was not worth it. Definitely recommend and will continue to come to Golden Olive for the chicken shawarma though!
