Don Jose's Mexican restaurant in Huntington Beach has been in business since 1966. An Iconic Restaurant in the Adams and Magnolia area of Huntington Beach.I personally enjoy this place. Drinks are well prepared, the food is great, and quick to your table, and any of the oversized Wet Burritos are awesome. Pricing is fair a$ well. Not over the top as seems to be the case with a lot of other Mexican restaurants in HB.

I grew up eating at Don Jose in the late 70's and early 80's. I moved away in 84' and haven't been back since. I can rememeber playing the sitdown cocktail version of Ms. Pacman in the bar.I was in the area with my mom recently and it was the first place we went to. Sooooo good. Exactly like I remembered it. I live in Nor Cal now and the mexican food is OK but its no Don Jose. Do yourself a favor and eat here - you won't be disappointed.

If you like Mexican Food please please do not go here. The food was horrible, no taste and the Margarita tasted like water down tequila. My husband got the shrimp chipotle tacos and he got sick non stop throwing up. I got the Shrimp in tomatillo and it was ? and my son a grilled cheese sandwich with frozen fries all of that ended up being $90 dollars definitely the last and only time. However if you don’t know what real Mexican food taste than that’s another story.I recommend Sol Mexican in Irvine or Solitas Mexican in HB for the price this place charges, trust me Sol and Solitas is perfect and quality of food EXCELLENT!

Decided last minute to look for a Brunch location, found it here. Place is clean, food was good, but when you say Champaign brunch and give me a glass the size of a shotglass "no joke" and after 4 refills, then say SORRY we have a limit, no place on your menu states that, the unfriendly server states "well does it say bottomless on the sign outside, hanging from the side of the building? Lol, talk about bait and switch. Gotta say the most helpful guy was the busboy, he should have got the tip. Bottomline is this, if it's not bottomless or you have a limit then say so. Also a little more friendly service from the server would have been appreciated.

I just went here tonight with my daughter, mom and grandmother. I had forgotten my id which I didn’t even think I wouldve needed it and they basically kicked me out. I find it ridiculous. It was very embarrassing for me because I’m 23 and I have a daughter. I felt super anxious. I think the girl was also very rude. Never going back!

Good food awsome happy hour specials, friendly employees cool bar tenders, I recommend it ? ??

First time coming to this location. Very busy for dinner and food was good. I like the salsa and we got the steak fajitas. My parents got the chile rellenos.

I have been going to Don Jose's for at least 35 years. I raised 4 kids and every Friday night they had a choice between Zoobies, Lee's Chinese and Don Jose's. They ALWAYS picked Don Jose's and we would have a great time! After 35+ years the restaurant is as great as it was so long ago. Hope everyone will continue to support our favorite restaurant!

Delicious food!! And very good portions. Definitely get your money's worth and the servers were all very pleasant. Plus, they have infinite chips and salsa that were to die for.

Average Mexican food. Huge portions.Very good service.
