The service was slow but the bus boys are great. They did more for me then our waitress so i tipped them separately. The food was good but I was disappointed by my enchiladas they seemed to be a bit under cooked. The beans and rice were also not what I expected them to be. All and all I give the service and food both a 5 out of ten. The bus Boys seemed like they were doing our waitresses job. So expect service to be slow.
The food was good. I ordered enchiladas rancheras and my husband ordered the carnitas plate. It was what you would expect from a Mexican Food restaurant in California. I ordered a watermelon margarita and that was delicios! made with fruit, not syrup. Loved it. The service was great!! Our server was super friendly, our food was served fast, and it was hot, which was great! I hate cold or lukewarm food. They had indoor and outdoor seating, and the ambiance was good. Plenty of tv's to watch sports. You can also sit at a bar stools that face the sidewalk and people watch. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was the parking situation. They have parking in the back, but they had cones blocking the stalls. But overall a very pleasant Sundy Brunch experience.
This spot has been given my official stamp of "Best Bloody Mary in HB"!! Its well garnished and a site to see. The tiny taco is the perfect pairing for this drink to start things off. While its affective to drink it is also bursting with flavor!Sadly the food didn't make it to photo but I recommend anything on the menu. Even the salsa is worth getting extra!Definitely will be back soon!
We haven't been to Main St in 20 years. Place looks good. Just happened to be a street fair going on. We stopped at Avila's for a bite. Food, drinks and service was great! Tacos were a little undercooked. Word to the back: take a few extra minutes, we don't mind. Makes it worth the wait.
Wonderful, helpful and friendly staff in all departments! The food was excellent, fresh and our order came out quickly, and sides we ordered came out exactly how we ordered them. Great experience!
The food was pretty good. The burrito was mostly rice and beans, not sure if they forgot the meat, but it was tasteful. Eating outside is always a plus for us. The heaters outside really helped.
Avila's downtown Huntington Beach is one of my go-to restaurants. You can sit by the front and watch the people go by, there is also patio dining in front on Main Street and in the back, but even the dining room feels open. Chips and salsa are great. And a wonderful menu. Family owned since way back, you can't go wrong at El Ranchito.
Top notch service and Mexican food... Best shrimp Fajitas ever! The vegetarian bowl my daughter ordered was a hit. Delicious skinny margaritas, although I have them add more club soda and fresh lime because it gives it a nice lift.The servers and manager were especially welcoming, wow! Such a friendly and cohesive team... it was such a cozy fun place to spend a lovely dinner by the ocean.Highly recommend!
