Pretty tasty. Good flavor on the wet style sauce. Ordered the carne asada burrito. Ample size. This is a restaurant, not fast food; but you can order to go. Also comes with chips and salsa to go, as well. Will come back to try other items.
All staff were super polite with smiles; aside from the girl at the door. The young man taking our orders was above and beyond when it comes to customer service. Very respectful and attentive he was. Even the manager was quick to assist when I needed help regarding how one of the meals was prepared. Food was delicious and abundant. Prices are great.
The portions are very large for the price, however I was not impressed with the food. My girlfriend enjoyed her tacos, her sister and her sister enjoyed her nachos, I ordered the Cancun burrito which was seafood. I would expect a burrito that is shrimp fish and octopus to be filled filled with bell peppers and onions not rice and beans. Was not very appetizing. 1st time eating there and last time.
I've been to many great mexican restaurants and this is a superb Mexican restaurant! The food and taste is authentic and flavorfull. Definitely a diamond in the rough especially where it's located, in the middle of the desert! All the 1 star reviews don't even relate to the restaurants food, I wouldn't eat anywhere else in this area!

Food was best Mexican food I've found since moving to High Desert in 2014, but still a lot of room for improvement. Have been totally disappointed with all the Mexican Restaurants I've tried up here so far. Can get much better down the hill. Margs & waiter were great, but Restaurant itself is small with almost buffet type lighting & atmosphere, which I personally don't really care for, especially for the prices they charge. I have no problem paying these prices if it was larger, with a better Restaurant VS buffer style atmosphere. Lighting is way to bright!
I have to say, to watch these (2) gentleman (plus the door host/seater) work together and make this place operate was… well, something to behold. Props to the kitchen too!Still got fast service with a smile even if the crew seemed a bit thin, and even convo. It goes a long way for a weary traveler. Food was fast and hot. Few drinks. Never waited for anything. A++ !!
Used to love it here and come frequently to the Hesperia and Wrightwood locations. However, today, upon entrance to the establishment I was greeted by an untrained host who proceeded to tell me my service dog “didn’t look like” a service dog and would need to call his manager. He continued to berate us and instead of calling his manager he stood at his computer sending an order. Now I understand a lot of people attempt to portray household pets off as service animals and it is making it more and more difficult for establishments, however, one asking me if he was indeed a service dog and me stating yes and that the service he provides is seizure alert for my epilepsy that should have been the end of it. I have come multiple times with the exact same dog who accompanies me everywhere including theme parks and airlines and have never been made to feel so discriminated against. Please if you have a service animal be prepared if coming to this Establishment, I was so humiliated I wanted to cry. Please see attached photo of the dog who “doesn’t look like” a service dog laying under the table as he is trained to do.
Not impressed on the authenticity.Theres not a whole lot of flavor going on with the meat inside, which isn't mexican. Tacos are very bland. The beans were thicker than I've ever had making them tough to mix up with the rice, but they taste good. Maybe this is California mexican? It's not real mexican food I've had before. It's more mexican american like french fries. And very highly priced. $ for quality theres many better places around the US.
Delicious food, great service. I keep coming back. Wife loves the flautas.
