Breakfast was amazingly delicious!!! The hair of the dog cocktails hit the spot to start with, followed by their homemade tortillas with sweet butter or homemade green or red salsa (instead of chips and salsa). The Huevos Rancheros with added filet mignon IS exactly needed after a long night. We had a party of 9, and we all shared plates because all of it was delicious!
The first time coming here very small but great vibes nice set up and music was very nice but I didn’t feel welcome coming in but I never base an company off it’s first experience I waited 15 minutes just to get an order once that was taken the brought out fresh tortillas variety of sauce So pretty but I had to excuse myself to go to the restroom Upon my arrival back my table was cleaned out I looked very confused on why this was a guy came up said sorry and that he didn’t mean to clean my table my main dish arrived shorty after talking to the the young man who was very nice on replace another order for my appetizer they food was well prepared and paired great with my watermelon smash service did turn around but my tip to staff me mindful one tables don’t clear without confirm or waiting to see if the person left first when finishing my dinner I asked for the bill that took 30 mins -4mins to get my car was parked by a meter so I did end up getting a tickets waiters and waitresses passing by me with no care in the world very poor customer service I see
Great food, service and atmosphere. We sat at the bar as it was an hour wait on a Friday night. But it was full service, so it was fine. Queso Fundido was bomb with chorizo on top. Instead of like chips and salsa or bread, they give you homemade tortillas and 3 dips. 1 green salsa, 1 red salsa and a sweet butter that is SOOO good. Ensalada Asada was yummy and my husband had the short rib enchiladas and loved them. Drinks were good and they have an extensive list. Will be back!
Stayed here in Hermosa beach for a few day. Ate at some great restaurants but by far Cocina Tequila was by far the best place that I’ve ate at during my entire stay. The freshly made tortillas were killer. The food was simply amazing. The drinks outstanding but the service was the real star. Service was amazing. Quick and very polite. This is the place to be.
My nice lives in the area and I was in town for a visit with her. She let me choose the restaurant and I choose this one. The staff was enthusiastic professional quick but not to the point of hectic or unsafe. We date outside and the accommodations where more than sufficient for us to have our meals and room to spare. I had the fish tacos and we split a beet salad. The tacos were perfect. The portion was enough to have to take some home. I would highly recommend it.
Fun atmosphere, in the middle of it all, plenty of dining options (outside, inside, rooftop). The food was plentiful and tasty. Staff was working really hard to serve everyone and they did a great job!
Absolutely love their food! Beautiful atmosphere, too. Meals start with warm homemade tortillas and sauces which immediately make this restaurant stand out. I most recently had their Chimichanga Mariscos - lobster, shrimp with a cream sauce. AMAZING! I'll definitely be ordering again!
