My mom’s bottom line for reviewing a restaurant is: “is this meal better than what I could make at home?” Unfortunately for Fritto Misto, the answer is no. This place had been recommended to us by a few friends, so we popped in for a casual meal. We left disappointed. Everyone raves about the bread, but ours wasn’t great. It was served with ice cold pats of butter - we were never offered olive oil. We started with the Caesar salad, which was fine. It felt like store bought dressing and croutons with Parmesan from the green can - meh. I made my own pasta with the arrabiata sauce, and husband had the goat cheese fettuccine. They were both…. Fine? Nothing knocked our socks off. I felt like I could have made the same meal with jarred sauce from the grocery store and some cut up veggies and sausage. We both left agreeing we don’t need to go here again. There are lots of great Italian places in the South Bay: Pitfire (MB), love & salt (mb), Jame Enoteca (El Segundo) to name a few. No reason to go here when those options are head and shoulders above.
Impressed by the service and food, we will be back! You can sit inside or outside or get takeout. Delicious gluten free options!
Heads up this isn’t like a FANCY Italian meal, but it is an EXCELLENT casual spot with great food for a very decent price. Noodles felt totally homemade, bread was fkkking on point. Only complaint was the lack of cocktails. Great local, casual, neighborhood-type Italian spot for a great night out.
Tried and true! Every time we visit this restaurant it never fails to deliver delicious food and service is always friendly and prompt. This time we went with a large group of friends and everyone enjoyed their meal. Glad it's so near home ;)
The pillows creamy pesto is my go to even though I'm not vegetarian. They're simply delicious. We also got a salad which was very fresh. And my kids like the colorful tri colored fusili with butter. The flavors of the fettuccine bolognese are craveable and keep us coming back. We've also had the atomic pasta and pasta New Orleans in the past that were good as well. Also, the staff was nice when picking up our order and gave us good service even thought it was busy on a Saturday night during the height of dinner. I definitely recommend this local restaurant!

Saw this as we walked by to see some friends play at the wine bar next door... after our friends finished we headed back here.. it was a busy evening Friday before superbowl and the visiting teams fans were in town enforce, it was a wonderful time having 20 or so of them in the restaurant..We waited about 15 or so for a table.. ordered a drink and the friends that were aging next door were packing up their gear.. they saw us and stopped by the table and just like that it was a foursome.. dinner was fantastic we had everything from the salad to vegetables lasagna to meat lasagna.. everything was outstanding service was wonderful the evening was just amazing with friends and a wonderful dinner!
I found this restaurant on Tripad visor. This was fantastic Italian fear. I started with the bread which tasted homemade crusty and delicious. Next step was minestrone soup. I thought I was in Italy. But the soup was sooooo delicious. My wife had a side salad which was fresh. Next up…we split the sausage lasagna. The noodle stays at homemade. It was a bit spicy but delicious. I don’t think it was the sausage but more likely the peppers or the sauce that added the spice. I would definitely come back here to try other options on the menu.
Trevor, the food and the location; imbue a five star energy and taste into this fine establishment. Lobster ravioli, Trevor’s way, sun with sirloin tips. Remember, the food and vibe are good for late night dates and romantic dinners with friends. I would even dine in solo because of the great service and staff.
Amazing restaurant. Been going here for a while, and I am never let down. Food is amazing and reasonably priced, and the service is great. Will definitely be coming back.
