Today I went to Hermosa Beach for the first time for the festival. Not familiar with the neighborhood, because I love Mexican food I wanted to try El Tarasco. I ordered chicken burrito. It was the WORST mexican food I have ever tasted. Salty, wet and it felt apart on the first bite. It was gross and I hated. NEVER again. If I had a choice I would give the restaurant ZERO star.
Having grown up with El Terasco in MB I've been going for years and also to the Redondo location. So I had to try this place, large interior space with. A roll up door makes the inside feel like outside, also a patio for outdoor dining.. We came here for dinner and I remember the burritos to be huge, my carnitas burrito was way smaller than other locations... the food wasn't special like in the original location...
Phenomenal. For years El Tarasco has been my go-to, and the only thing I really order is the El Tarasco burrito, just meat, onions, cilantro & the absolutely delicious green salsa, plus I add cheese extra. A few of my Thai friends rave about the carnitas, but I usually go asada, but both fantastic, can't go wrong. Also the chips and red salsa are great, the people friendly and cheerful, and the beers cold. Plugs too if need to charge phone or laptop. My favorite Mexican food in SoCal.
Very good food, huge portions, pretty authentic. Had Fish Taco and Shrimp enchilada Friday special, sat outside with the three dogs on their nice patio; perfect.
Food is passable, if youre into texmex this is the place. It is actually good than most of the other mexican food places around the area (sad... i know). This is considering price and flavor. I havent found a good mexican place around this area and ive lived here for 10years. The 3 places i recommend is taco bell, this place, and ensenadas surf n turf grill on sepulveda.
Great staff! Monica was amazing and really attentive. Totally recommend! Delicious food as well this place has it all??
A family owned and operated chain that's been in the South Bay for over fifty years, El Tarasco keeps old school and simple. Nothing fancy here, so don't expect elevated L.A. food. Great flavors, no tofu or quinoa. Just good Mexican family recipes.
Got two of three orders wrong. Fish taco was an oil slick, same with quesadilla. There were some bright spots; good size and style chips and guacamole with a touch of lime. But overall, there are cheaper options in town.
This restaurant offers wonderful service and delicious food. My favourite spot in the city. The food served rapidly and the prices were economical. Highly recommended.
Super Deluxe Burrito with shredded beef was amazing and too big to eat! Everyone enjoyed their food. Service was good. Not crowded either.
