Heard many of my friends and coworkers talk about this place and yet I've never been. Until today. I got the James burrito, and my fiancee got an assortment of tacos and flautas. Everything was delicious. On top of that, the restroom was pristine, and the dining room was spotless. Even all the knick knacks up on the shelves were free of dust and cobwebs. They obviously take pride in cleanliness. And as a paying customer, I appreciate it immensely. Their service was friendly and quick, and the prices were reasonable. I will be back. Often.
Usually I am a creature of habit and not very often stray away from what I like but in the habit of fun and a new experience which I sometimes take a chance lol the food is amazing only thing which is normal is a somewhat long wait time because during lunch hours this place can get pretty busy but well worth the wait.
Food is great. Customer service needs help. Called in an order for just 2 breakfast burritos. Came and picked it up, when the machine runs your card it asks for a tip. I left a $2 tip being nice and when I asked for salsa cups she made a HUGE deal that she could only give me 2 per burrito. ? I don't understand what the big deal is, honestly. Take care of the customer. Now I will be more cautious about tipping here for sure.
1st time here and it was great!! Got a Carne asada breakfast burrito and they're delicious. No chincy small burrito here. Packed full and tastes great only finished half and had to come back to it. Will definitely be back here when I'm in town.
I just don't know what's going on. I have always loved Taqueria Rancho Grande on East Florida Ave. The food and the quality of service has always been wonderful until the last month or so. They don't answer the phone! Normally I like to order my food over the phone and then go pick it up to save having to sit there and wait. It happened two weeks ago and it happened again today. I ordered 2 super fries with carne asada. My bad I did not check my order before I left. The order came out to be super nachos with carne asada. And towards the end of eating the dish I find a goat head sticker in the super nachos. Did they change ownership and the employees are hoping they don't succeed or is there the two ladies up front they don't want to answer the phone I don't know what's going on but I wish the owners could be informed.
I've been eating great food from here for over 10 years. Today I ordered a carne asada burrito with 4 little salsa cups, over the phone for pickup. When I went to pay I found that they charged me an extra dollar for the salsa. They are already the most expensive taco shop in town and their food has been worth it up till now. My burrito tasted good but the quality of the meat seems to have gone down when the price went up. And the meat ratio has changed you get more rice and beans than carne asada. Very disappointed. I won't be coming back anytime soon.
I just ordered a ground beef burrito it was mostly beans. The beans were flavorless but the burrito was a good size, dissapointing meal, the salsas are so so, they used to be good there prices went up, the place is unusually busy, there are better places in town, sorry guys
I would give this place 5 stars if they would answer their phone. I get it that this place is so good and that's why they're so busy. But they should have at least have one person taking phone orders. They should realize that they're becoming so popular that they need a bigger location or another one. But yeah, I always order their Chicken Fajita Burrito, it's amazing. Their ranchers sauce is awesome also. Their michelada...the BEST. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
They still never answer their phone. I tried for an hour! Obviously they don't really want my business. It's not like there is a shortage of Mexican food restaurants in Southern California. I will never give this place another penny....
Great food however establishment is not to ethically friendly. Came in for the first time and the front desk girl was great but waiter/ server needs to get some customer's service skills. Had to ask twice after passing me for pico . Instead of waiting had to get up and get it . But the icing on the cake was asking for a to-go box which was provided but was dirty with hair sauce and a hole in the box. I have included a picture for review. Do better next time be I work hard for my money and expect to receive decent service
