We love this place. Excellent selection of delicious pastries, cookies, cakes, savory treats, breads, espresso drinks, and more. Get there early for the best selection. Expect a line. But it moves fairly quickly, and it is worth the wait. Highly recommended. Keep an eye out for postings (on their windows and website) for their periodic themed popup dinners. Always fun.
I love this place! The croissants are to die for! Amazing people and amazing snacks! One of my favorite to get here would be their almond croissants the outside is flaky bursting with flavor while the inside melts in your mouth! Cookies here come 2nd for me. Comes at you with an amazing crunch into a soft gooey chocolaty center! Mouth is watering thinking about it! ?
I waited a few days before posting to let it cement in my mind, but I'm pretty sure this is the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had. It reminds me of a combination between a Levain and a Le Marais chocolate chip cookie: crispy, crunchy outer edges, soft and gooey in the middle. With thin wafers of chocolate disbursed throughout, each bite is an excellent combination of dough + cookie. I enjoyed it so much I ate 3 of them over 4 days, and then bought 2 home to share with friends.Note that we also tried the croissant (excellent), chocolate + tahini croissant (turns out I really like sesame + chocolate), kouign-amann, and the huckleberry + marzipan scone. If you dislike scones, give this one a try. I don't like really dry and crumbly scones, but this one has that classic exterior paired with a really moist and delicious center. Again, I highly recommend giving it a try.I hope to go back soon to try everything else because it all looked delicious.
Phenomenal bake shop filled with sweet goodies and breads. Awesome! My stop whenever in Healdsburg. Great coffee too! Always friendly staff.
This is an exceptional bakery!!! So ADDICTING that I want to go back everyday to get my hands on the pastries. The flaky buttery croissants, the huckleberry scones, the artisan breads, parmesan biscuits are are to die for! Always fresh and every bite of these treats screams high quality ingredients. More cakes are introduced in the refrigerated case. I took a bite of the pistachio eclairs I thought I went to heaven and back. There was something in the pistachio custard perhaps a combo of passion fruit? Whatever it is, it was amazing! The decadent tiramisu was so rich and so pure, truly sinful, the mango pie just melted in my mouth, yes I can eat the whole pie! That was out of this world good! I could go on and on raving all the pastries and breads I had bought here, so far, I just want more and the best way to keep track of the new specials is to follow Quail & Condor on Instagram.
The pastries here were amazing - hefty in size too. We got the earl grey morning bun (out of this world), the kougin aman (one of the best I had), and a few croissants. The bread was incredible as well. Must stop in if you’re in the area!
This place is nearly ALWAAAAAYS packed. I was driving by, saw there was only one person in side, so I quickly turned in to check it out. The amazing aromas greet you before you get the chance to exit your vehicle. I walk inside (with my mask on of course) and instantly in awe of the phenomenal looking baked goods. I was finally able to land on a couple of baked bites and a coffee. From the service to the goods, everything seemed top notch. Will be back!!
I went this morning around 9:30am to get a chocolate croissant. As a top-notch bakery, I expect a fresh baked croissant. This was not it. Typically, I would expect the croissant to be warm, or room temperature at minimum. But in this case, the croissant was COLD (fridge temperature). The chocolate inside was almost frozen and you could see the complete chocolate bar inside was literally intact and had not been mildly melted.I'm posting this because this bakery gets a lot of hype, but this is the fourth time that this has happened in the past few months here. Not only that, but I asked for the croissant to be reheated and they said the only oven was in use and was dismissed pretty quickly by the only person working there.I think you guys should step up your game if you truly want to be recognized as a respected bakery. If you're going to sell cold and not tasty pastries, that's fine, but whoever is looking for a legit bakery, I wouldn't recommend it.Edit: I appreciate the response from the owner, and this critique does not mean I will stop going, it's just a suggestion to improve the experience for the customer! Best of luck.
Um, yes to everything. Fantastic, crackling laminated pastries - highly recommend the savory croissant (e.g. ham and cheese). My child really dug their oatmeal cookie.
A great selection of delicious pastries and breads. What a wonderful addition to Healdsburg!
