Nice cozy spot for a coffee and snack. A wide variety of mochas which I haven’t seen at other shops and a great selection of classics as well. The pastries looked really good but I didnt get to try it this time around.
Visiting Healdsburg CA today and stopped in Black Oak Coffee Roasters. The pastry selection is rather small but don't let that fool you. It's all delish!! Indoor seating and takeout. All is accessible.
Sonoma County’s best coffee shop! Their coffee selection is great - I am sure to pick up a bag of whole beans every couple of weeks to have Black Oak at home when I’m not able to make it to the cafe. And when I can make it to the cafe, I’m in for a treat. The delicious pastries and hot food options hit the spot for breakfast or an afternoon snack. I love that the menu isn’t stagnant, there’s quite often something new to try - especially seasonal treats! The pastry chef is so creative! And the baristas are artists - hopefully you’re lucky enough to have Brian craft your beverage! I can’t say enough good things about this place. It is run very well and I can’t wait to head back in next week. Cheers Black Oak!
The burrito is a lot to handle also quite messy. I enjoyed my oat milk latte more than the burrito.
Interesting coffee drinks with preorder option. Staff was very friendly. Seems to be a socially/eco conscious company. My Mayan mocha was a bit sweet to me. Hubs got a Cafe Borgia which is a mocha with orange. I liked his mocha better because it wasn't as sweet. I think I might try a regular mocha next time.
February 2022:Stopped by one afternoon and tried the pour over coffee. The selections of coffee were really good. A few piqued my interest and was happy to see many light roast options! ?Overall, was really happy with my pour over. Service was very friendly. Would definitely come back for more delicious ☕ in the future!
Super cute location in downtown Healdsburg. I’ve had their beans at other coffee shops and the coffee is excellent but my Cortado was not well made. Too much milk, lukewarm and the coffee tasted bitter.
Black Oak is a Ukiah-based local microroaster with global ambitions yo produce world class made in Mendocino County coffee. And they are doing it even as we speak. This Healdsburg outpost is as good as it gets. Full stop. Even the hipster City of San Francisco can’t match their Black Oak cool kids moves. Come here. Before it’s too late.
Way too overpriced, $14 for 1 slice of avocado toast. Everything served in to go containers, because of covid? To top it off, uncomfortably cold inside building. Ukiah location is so much better.
I like this place---excellent coffee/options and pastries seemed on-point. I had a chocolate chip cookie--excellent! Can get very busy on weekends with Healdsburg tourists.
