Very good Cafe, reasonable but not cheap on budget, and zippy service. Might be crowded on week-ends. Come early and hungry you won't be disappointed here

Consistently Great Quality, Value & ServiceI come here often and have never been disappointed. I usually order off the breakfast menu. Everything is made to order; food does not sit under a heat lamp. My coffee cup doesn't stay empty for long before I'm asked for a refill. My orders have been correctly prepared for the last 5 years. Highly recommend.
Slightly disappointed with their huevos rancheros. The salsa is not very flavorful, the eggs could use a lot more salsa. The pancakes were flawless and the staff very friendly
It makes me really sad that such a horrible thing happened here today because this was my mother and her friends’ favorite place to eat. Now they don’t want to ever come here again.I am visiting my mother who lives down the street from Rosy’s. She always wants to come here with her friends and brings me here when I visit. I was meeting her here today so I went into the restaurant and told the young woman at the front that I was meeting someone. They weren’t there yet, so I went back out to my car to wait. My mom has a bad hip and I usually help her exit her car and climb over curbs.About 10 minutes later I went back into Rosy’s to use the bathroom because my mom was almost there and it takes a while to get her out of her car and into buildings. As I was walking out, the same young woman screamed at me “YOU’RE WELCOME”. I didn’t know what she was talking about, so I went back in and asked. She said I wasn’t allowed to use the bathroom. I told her that I was just in there and told her that I was meeting people. She said that I’m not allowed to use the bathroom until I’ve paid. I told her that’s very strange since we were literally just about to eat. I have never in my life heard of a restaurant that doesn’t allow customers to use the bathroom until they’ve paid. She said I was lying that I was meeting anyone there and that I just came in to use the bathroom. This doesn’t even make sense, since I had just been in there to look for my mother 10 minutes earlier. If I only went in there to use the bathroom then I wouldn’t have been in there 10 minutes earlier just looking for people!The worst part of the whole thing is she screamed at me in front of other customers. There was a woman at the counter paying and a table full of people watching the whole thing happen. They probably won’t want to come back, either.After this happened my mom and her friend had finally arrived. I went out and told them what happened in the parking lot. After I told them what happened they were horrified and said they didn’t want to eat there anymore. I had to get her back into her car and we all had to drive somewhere else.It’s so sad because this place was really close to my mom’s house and she really liked coming here. Now she and her friends have to find another place. They don’t want to risk that woman screaming at them for using the bathroom before they eat.The young woman was in her early 20’s and on the heavier side. She had dark hair and a round face. They really should fire her because she is so cruel to customers. It’s not good for the business to keep her there. The rest of the staff has been really nice every other time we’ve been there. If they get rid of her then the place will probably be fine. I highly recommend not eating there if she is still working there.We’ll try again in a few months or so and if she’s not there anymore then we can write a better review!
Delicious waffles for breakfast today! Family owned business with great atmosphere. Waffles were fluffy, light, interior with perfectly crisp exterior, not heavy at all. Definitely recommend the Nutella with banana and whipped cream, didn't even need syrup! Pineapple agua fresca rounded everything out. Staff is so cheerful and helps out each table. Come for lively conversation and shared eats with your family.

The price is fair and you get a good amount of food for what you pay for. They forgot my coffee until the very end, but I understand they may be a bit busy during that time. The service staff was very nice so I'll still give them 5 stars.
The food and service was good and a nice quiet atmosphere. If you are looking at prices the prices in the pictures of the menus are more accurate.The prices listed with the white background below the pictures are far cheaper and not correct.
Have you ever longed for an old time feel in a restaurant? Someplace where the staff makes you feel like family? It is hard to find that in the Hayward or Castro Valley area. There is such a place, it is in Hayward at 22616 Vermont st. It is ROSY'S CAFE near the Hayward and Castro Valley border.My wife and I went for the first time and was not disappointed in any way. I had ham and eggs which was cooked to my liking my wife had a Hamburger lunch which she loved. Her words not mine though I agreeIf you want that old time feel this is a must to visit. By the way it is both Mexican and American food.
