First timers here, I just randomly chose this place from a quick review of Afghan places near our friends house. Seems like some of the bad reviews and criticisms revolve around religious issues which thankfully I have zero allegiance to or interest in.None of us had been here before and three of us never had Afghani food. Four diners, four different ethnicities and no preconceptions. With that said, we were all very happy with our meals which were simply delicious.We had the potato Bolani (generous portion).Lamb Kabob plateBeef Kabob plateChicken Kabob plateChicken curry plateI didn't try the lamb but my beef was just great, been thinking about it since. Tender, moist and wonderfully seasoned. I brought it home as leftovers and my 11 year old devoured it.The chicken kabob ranks up there with my favorite with Zareens and Mazra. Honestly like this better than Mazra and was more tender than Zareens, but very good. Chicken curry was nice and mild, easy for anyone to eat and flavorful.The yogurt based salad dressing was delicious. The Bolani was good and was a generous portion, definitely enough for four to share along with the meal.We all live a good 40 minutes away or longer with traffic but oI can't wait to come back here again!
I was there on Monday May 23rd on my way back from the airport I ordered three combination plates and we waited a while for the food to arrive we asked for extra bread and some deep sauce when we was shipped out food the chicken was reasonable but the beef kebabs seems to come from Camel meat very hard and showy like tires we did complained to the waiter no courtesy was given we used to go to this restaurant years ago and it used to be top rated now they’re going downhill and they’re going downhill fast shame on you $60 of my hard earned dollars on garbage

An Afghan mainstay with focused menu serving up all the standards.Assortment of meat kabobs, traditional appetizers and a number of vegetarian options. Bolani flatbread is warm and comforting; borani banjan stews the eggplant just right with tomato; and aush soup provides a filling mix of noodles, vegetables and legumes — finished off with yoghurt.Friendly service, and a nice place for sharing.
The food here is very, very good. Great beef, chicken & lamb options. The bread and dipping sauce is very easy to get filled up on so be cool... ?
This place has the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We placed an order for 5 plates totaling in over $100 today. Two of our plates look exactly the same but one order was chicken and lamb combo verses other was chicken and lamb. Neither of the orders were labeled so I called to ask if they can remake one because I’m Hindu and we don’t eat beef products. The guy on the phone kept telling me to sniff the plates and ill be able to tell the difference. I told him I don’t want to take the chance and would prefer if he could just remake my one plate out of the 5 plates we ordered. The guy on the phone said he can charge me for a new plate but couldn’t replace the order since I DIDN’T TELL HIM TO LABEL THE PLATES. Why would I tell him to label the plates that’s just common practice amounts restaurant’s. He then continued to tell me to bring the plates in and he can SNIFF THE MEATS TO TELL ME THE DIFFERENCE. I told him that’s unhygienic and I’m not going to have him sniff my food during covid especially. He told me he could charge me for a new plate and hung up the phone while I was talking. I’m extremely disappointed that we even gave them our business in the first place. Being that this is a Muslim restaurant you would think they under the importance of practicing religious restrictions. If you went to a restaurant and they have you pork and similar meat and told you to trust them based on them just sniffing the food how would you feel being that you’re a halal restaurant. This was the worst customer experience I’ve had in a very long time! I love supporting local small businesses but honestly this place is trash!
We ordered $130 of food for takeout including a beef and chicken combo and a lamb and takeout combo(because we had someone who didn’t eat beef). They didn’t label the lamb or beef unfortunately and I’m pretty sure they’re both beef. When we called in, they said that we could bring it back into the restaurant and they can smell it and tell us which is which. DESPITE the health and safety violation in the middle of a pandemic, when we just asked for a replacement, they said that we’d need to pay for it. When I said we’re not paying for a replacement on an incorrect order, they hung up on us. I can’t tell you how much I advise staying far away from here.Response to vendor:That is completely out of line with what I was told over the phone. I was told that it was our fault for not requesting that the meals be labelled which should be standard. I was also told that if we wanted our order fixed, we would need to pay for the replacement. After I made it extremely clear that I wasn't paying extra to get the correct order, the employee hung up on me. The food was already thrown away because the meat was in contact with the rest of the food. On top of that, I have no interest in a new order at this point if the employee that answered my phone offered to SMELL my food in the middle of a pandemic to tell me which is which. I worry about the safety and health codes that the entire restaurant follows at this point
Food was ok ok.. not so great. Chicken curry was a bit different taste. Chicken kabob was good. Quantity was a little less composed to other places. A bit pricey when compared to other hotels. SaksKabob came with rice and salad. Salad was amazing. Veg Bolani wasn't that great. It was a bit hard at the edges. Overall good was decent.. not of great..
The meat is always perfectly cooked, moist and flavorful. I love their salad with creamy dressing as well. I'm stuffed and satisfied after every visit. We have also ordered catering. They made it easy and quick.
The food and service were ahead of our expectations. I absolutely enjoyed the atmosphere of this spot. Fantastic spot to take my family out for lunch.
