It’s a weekend night. Sign was up “out of pepperoni, basil, pastrami”. They also were out of forks and knives (how? You’re a restaurant…) and the beer was flat, and produced a ton of foam. I watched them try to fill my cup 4-5 times, pouring mostly foam. The new glory was flat, the Corona was flat, and they were out of other beer too. They also had pitchers…. That you couldn’t get. They said we couldn’t get pitchers for any of the drinks. No pitcher of beer, no pitcher of water, no pitcher of soda. The place is dirty, and the kitchen was filled with smoke. The tables were very sticky. Also a lot of the bulbs in the ceiling lights were out. I also watched multiple people fill water cups AND beer cups with sodas. The staff was very unfriendly and the food was eh. I have no idea how this place is open. 2 stars because we at least got our food on time.
I lived in the Hayward Hills for a few years when i was a kid. I would frequent Bronco Billys and play videogames. One Saturday i went around to all of the tables and unscrewed all of the parmesan cheese and hot pepper shakers so the tops would fall off when people went to put it on their pizza. Many people returned their pizzas that night and somehow they found out it was me. I ended up getting banned for a while which definitely put a damper on my summer. When they finally let me return i was given the nickname "Cheese Boy" and the name stuck and being a chubby little misfit the name suited me. I wonder if anyone remembers me! Great pizza! That was such an amazing little mini mall back then. The Hinetz family owned mini mart and the video store was there! Great place to grow up!
I ordered my pizza, and I started noticing that everyone after me got their pizza before me. I went to talk to them (this had be about 30 minutes since I ordered) and they couldn’t give me a discount. They did offer me free bread which I accepted, but it’s been another 30 minutes and they still haven’t got my food out. This is really unprofessional. Terrible experience
Unfortunately only one star for customer service. This is the saddest Bronco Billy's I've visited. I love the one in Fremont and Union City. Staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I walked in and the whole restaurant was smokie and smelled of burnt pizza. Still ordered but after dealing with staffs attitude and watching girl staff member sweep and kickup dirt in the air, I won't be back.
Best pizza spot in the area. Great price for huge slices, can't be beat. The gist of all the signs is that they are not a large franchise, do not expect freebies. You want ranch or extra cheese/pepper packets, you pay for it. Don't cut people in line. I forget the other dozen rules, but love the pizza like many in the area.
Pizza was delicious! Both the ranch and the red sauce were very yummy. Wait for a bit long though.
The new owners ruined this place. I used to come here several times a month for the best pizza, potato skins and homemade ranch. Ever since the change in ownership nothing is the same it’s quite sad. Another great vintage hayward restaurant lost. Kills me to say I won’t be returning back to a place I’ve loved for decades.
One of those nights when I needed some pizza... Mmmmm! Pepperoni, sausage & mushroom are my friends. ??
As a hard working single father when I decide to get a nice pizza like from this place I do so for quality service and food. I could easily get a 7$ pizza from 7-11 if I wanted to save money. So for a over 30$ pizza that I picked up and gave a 7 dollar tip. To ask me to pull my wallet out for 54 cents for a single ranch is absurd. I’m coming here so I don’t have to deal with low level scamming. Lucky for them I tipped before she asked for that 54 cents or i wouldn’t have tipped at all. There are many other high quality pizza places in Hayward that 0.54 cents cost you all my future business for the rest of my life and all the business you will lose from this review all for 0.54 cents I hope it was worth it.
Never a bad meal here. No fountain drinks but they do offer canned soda or beer on tap.
