It was okay. The server was a little "off" in my own opinion..I asked what was the most popular order on the menu being a first timer. His response was a stiff " I don't know". I was appalled. I went ahead to order what I felt I could eat.He later came around and was a bit more polite but one thing is you can't really change a first impression.The egg Benedict was not as I expected it but it was manageable..I enjoyed the tapioca. Ambience of the place was nice.
We had stopped eating here since we changed our diet to pescatarian. However, upon a recommendation from a friend, we came back to try the seafood menu. It was really good! The blackened salmon was excellent and the all-you-can-eat fish and chips was good, too. We were allowed to substitute side dishes on both for healthier options! Our waitress was attentive and very nice! We left completely satisfied with our meals and the service!
Great food as always but the service could have used a little work though the service girls were busy gossiping to each other rather then attending quickly to a rather empty restaurant on a tuesday afternoon around 3 .. But hey I was hangry with my mama and she gave black bear another chance so 5 stars to the food coming in for the win.
Great food and service went there for breakfast and got the Bear's choice. This is a very good for customization and picking out what you like and a good pricing. Friendly staffing and a great place to take your family for breakfast just make sure you know you have time because sometimes the weights can be bad but nothing too horrible.
Regular diner food... But this time around the food wasn't too excellent. Fried chicken was ice cold inside, salad didn't look fresh at all. And the manager seemed to be a bit lethargic and least interested. I would've given 3 stars but this is the first time I've seen this diner in not so good shape, so giving benefit of doubt. Plus our server was nice....
Amanda took great care of us. Instant seating. Took almost a whole minute to get our beverages. Food was crazy fast, hot and delicious. Coffee was fresh and you know how I love fresh brewed.Ask for Amanda. A great experience awaits! Thanks Amanda
My first experience at black bear diner was great I went there yesterday and I'd ordered the chicken strip basket with french fries and had some iced tea to go with my food. But at first, I'd thought about getting the pancake or the french toast combo but it comes with eggs which I do not eat. But maybe I'll order one of them next time when I go back there again. Anyway, the diner was really nice, great style of the place, great food, great drinks, and great service there too. So yeah my first experience there was great I can't wait to go back there for brunch next time. And to everybody out there that haven't been to black bear diner or have been there before be sure to go there again to try their food and drinks and have a great time experiencing it.???
Came here for breakfast with my family. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. We were promptly seated. Our food was delicious. The portion sizes were quite generous. The bathrooms were extremely clean.

Excellent meal for breakfast with huge plates always get full from one plate here. Pretty good service today
