First time here and met the owner and daughter. They made you feel welcome as soon as we came in. All the food looks so delicious but the lechon was super amazing!! Can't wait to try their Silog special on Monday! I totally recommend this place.
THIS IS IT!If you're looking for a spot to eat before leaving LA or just coming into town and starving, look no further. Immediately walked in, and the woman behind the counter asked me if this was my first time eating Filipino food. I excitedly said yes and she proceeded to let me sample just about everything, and I was absolutely floored by how homey and rich everything tasted. The broth in particular actually cured my friends stomach! After picking what I wanted to take, she kept loading me up with food and sweetly laughed and said "we're gonna make sure you get the full Filipino experience here".Everytime I come to LA, im taking whoever I'm with to this location. Bless this business!
I work in El Segundo and was craving some Filipino food on my way home from work. I Googled "Filipino food near me" and this place popped up. I got there at 3:45pm and the door was locked, but a woman came to the door and unlocked it for me. She said that they close at 4pm and that they were nearly out of everything. She showed me what little was left. There were catering trays for an order later that evening over the remains of the food cooked for that day. As she moved them over, more available dishes were seen. I picked their last Tortang Talong (an egg omelette with an eggplant in it). Then she uncovered the last of the chicken curry, and I selected that as well. I also got a large to go container of their pork sinigang. The prices were reasonable and the owner/staff was very courteous and personable. The food was delicious and the portions generous. I will be coming here again, but will have to call in my order earlier in the day before they run out of the good stuff; even though there were good stuff left, I didn't get the dishes I was craving for like Kare Kare (which I found out is only served on Thursdays. I was there on a Thursday, but the Kare Kare was long gone by then), and Beef Mechado. I hope more people frequent this establishment after around 4pm so they can expand their closing ours far after their 4pm closing time.
The best Filipino restaurant in the U.S.A...The food is so tasty....I recommend this restaurant to those people wants to try Filipino food...????
As a Filipino, I always find myself overly critical of eateries that sell food from my culture. It’s just how we are, food will always be compared to our own family recipes. Pick Your Plate made me wish my family had these recipes! Their sisig and bistek were some of the best that I’ve ever had! Now I always look forward to coming here!
First time having Filipino food and I enjoyed it. A new taste I’ve never tasted before. A lot of flavor and very tasty. The woman serving me was sooo kind. Told her it was my first time and she fixed me a mini plate to try some samples. I appreciated that so much will be coming back!
This was our first bite in LA off the plane. Simple, tasty, home cooking. Trust Tita Clara to treat you like family with a big, warm smile and generous portions.
