A very unassuming restaurant location that sits conspicuously across from the old Hawthorne mall. A middle eastern restaurant with many of the classic staples. Interestingly enough, there are a couple of Indian goodies thrown into the menu for good measure. Samosas and Mango Lassi? Yes please!I started with the appetizer sampler, I chose the tabouleh, samosas, and Falafel.Falafel was authentic and green, not that frozen stuff too many restaurants try to pass off as "falafel". The taboueh was flavorful, with hints of mint and generous lemon juice. The lamb samosas were straight out of an Indian restaurant with mint chutney to accompany it. All were great.For hummus, I had the habanero hummus. It had a great kick and spice to it. There were some great choices for hummus to choose from and if you can't decide on one, you can always try a sampler!For the main course, I had The lamb kabobs. The kabobs were delicious, cooked just right with a great marinade.All in all, this restaurant satisfied me immensely.Prices were modest and the service warm. Needless to say, I'll be back to the hummus house
This place proves that buried between the horrible burrito places and counter serve Asian restaurants, you can still find good food in the area. Excellent flavors, prices, and service. I was throughly impressed
Chicken kabob meal absolutely delicious. The chicken is incredibly tender and flavorful. The jalapeño cilantro hummus was very tasty. Perfect amount of food with salad and pita. Great tasting, light meal. Your meal is not complete with the taste buds draping pistachio baklava. The kitchen was bustling upon my visit - working feverishly perfecting a good number of meals. It's a wonderful testament to the popularity of Hummus House. Excellent attentive, warm, welcoming staff.

Amazing as usual we love the hospitality and the amazing food. I had been missing out on this gem for years but now I can't get enough of it... cilantro jalapeño hummus to die for literally feels like I am eating guacamole with a twist???
I thought this place was empty because they had no foot traffic. But as soon as I walk in it was a packed place. It is a nice hidden jem with food that is just as good.

I ordered a lamb kebab. It was DELICIOUS!!! I was working in the area. The restaurant is lovely. It's an older building with a LOT of charm. The food speaks for itself. I don't think you will be let down!
The food was amazing, and service for lunch was quick and friendly. Based on the name, we expected delicious homemade hummus and we're not let down. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for this particular type of food.
