Our oldest sister walked us to the pool and to Superior Ice Cream when I was a little girl. In the early 60s. I moved away and always wanted to go back. Well, I went back today. It was awesome. Great service and delicious ice cream and great memories.
Good ice cream. I use to have the urge to drink a lot of water after eat ice cream. But this one I'm not. Have a very smooth taste. Got the strawberry flavor this time. And they give you a big portion just for the single ones
My mom's church was planning a group trip on the train to get ice cream, she called and asked if there was a menu online. There was not, and we neglected to look at Google maps to see they are takeout only. Employee said they have no staff, and owner had no plans on changing "anything soon". Be aware, and always check Google Maps for up to date info. Or assume someone else did and take a nice scenic drive through cow country?. We hope to re-evaluate in the future.
My dad used to take us here when we were kids back in the 60's, a genuine treat. I had to be in Visalia last week and stopped for some ice cream to go. The chocolate used to have a very distinctive flavor, its not the same but still very good!
The ice cream was delicious. Probably the best ice cream I've ever had, however don't let the pictures fool you. I ordered a banana split & it was take out only so I was a little upset about that. When they gave me my order it was pretty small. I was disappointed because I've seen the pictures online so I'm here thinking I'm going to get a huge banana split, yet they gave me something average size in a medium sized cup (20oz). Not was I expected. If it wasn't for the taste of the flavor I would give 1 star.
Excellent ice cream place although it is only for take out. The ice cream is smooth and very delicious. I love the consistency of the ice cream. It is not too sweet; just perfect. One scoop is overwhelmingly huge. I highly recommend it and will defend come back and try other flavors.
The ice cream was the BEST I have ever had! That being said, I was super disappointed that we couldn't eat lunch there. It was closed off except for the ice cream, and no one saw fit to update their google site. We drove over 3 hours to eat there and enjoy the ice cream. If we had known it was closed, well, we may have made different plans. Still the ice cream was worth the trip! If you are thinking of going to Hanford, CA to enjoy the ice cream at Superior Dairy, you may want to call first to make certain that they are open for business.
This place was extremely disappointing. we drove out of our way for this with high hopes. Complete waste of time and money. The ice cream was not very good and given to you in a styrofoam cup. They do give you a lot that’s for sure but none of the “fancy” ice creams shown in other photos are available right now. The lobby is also closed for dining. They definitely seem to be living off their old reputation.
This ice cream place has so much potential but instead they're going the cheap and easy route. There was a line maybe 30ish minutes. No big deal we knew there was going to be a line. There's no dine in. The building it's so pretty but in bad conditions. Anyways moving forward on the ice cream. The menu its a bit confusing. The banana split and Sundays shouldn't go on a Styrofoam cup. I didn't enjoy the ice cream. I had to dig down to find the banana and other ice cream flavors I got. Very messy good thing I brought baby wipes lol there's a small park across to eat but no picnic tables.I took a picture on ig but forgot to save it ?♀️?♀️Experience 6/10Ice cream 5/10Presentation 0/10
Best ice cream!! Worth traveling a hour to get to!?
