I had no idea what to expect coming here. The staff was very welcoming, attentive, and kind. I didnt even see the menu before the first dish was served. Then I realized it was a prix fixe menu. And I just went along for the ride. Everything was amazing! The flavors were incredible and the presentations were simple but beautiful. Maybe its cos I'm not usually one for fancy/fine dining, but this place blew my mind. I would love to come back here again

Had a wonderful experience here. The experience of the meal was wonderful as you learn and taste each of the courses on the prix fixe menu. I think it’s a must have experience to have at least once, but I’ll be back for seconds for sure. Reservations are usually a week or two out, so make plans early!
Yakiya is a unique BBQ restaurant in Hacienda Heights, CA. They serve a prix-fixe menu with a variety of beef dishes. The food quality, service, and ambient are all good. As a Chinese owned restaurant, its good quality is unusual. The thinly sliced A5 Wagyu was my favorite. Some improvement opportunities: The Beef Cheek had good flavor but the meat was dry. The sorbet had a combination of sour, sweet, bitter and spicy. It was too complex for me. It was about 48 degree Fahrenheit outside. They opened a door which was connected to the patio seating area. The patio cold air made the dining room a bit too cold. My friends felt uncomfortable. I told the manager and she was insensitive.
Took my husband here for his birthday and I was super impressed. The meal is a pre fixed menu for about $100ish a person, which seems a little steep but it is super worth it. I have been to a lot of nicer restaurants where I’ve Paid way more and had less to eat with lame experiences. This was amazing! I also told the hostess that it was my husbands birthday in the beginning because I heard they give the birthday person a bone marrow whiskey shot which was right up my husbands alley. All of the meat and courses were delicious and beautifully plated, and I was pretty stuffed at the end. The dessert at the end was such a surprise I loved it! The service was really professional and friendly but not overly friendly which I loved. Thank you for making our experience dining at the restaurant amazing! Would definitely recommend to someone dining for a special occasion.
This is quiet a fancy restaurant, however the door was too close to our table, the wind kept getting inside, it kind of too cold dinning in. overall nice experience in it!
