I had the Asian salad add chicken and it was ok. I used to order this quite often when the first opened and I remember it being a lot better. I'm not sure if the recipie changed but this time I even called the restaurant and asked if they had forgotten some ingredients. The chicken was small and kind of mushy (might have been marinating too long, not sure) and there was parsley in the salad which I thought was strange because it is supposed to be cilantro, the slaw mix had hardly any bell peppers or wantons. The salad was mostly lettuce and water chestnuts. I had to doctor it up by adding another chicken breast I cooked at home and it needed a little something-something so I threw in some cashews and mandarin oranges. All in all it was pretty lack-luster and I was disappointed for sure because I used to love this salad. The employees were great, friendly as always and it's always a pleasure ordering food from Pine street burgers. Must have been a fluke, I've never had a disappointing meal from there before, it's always top notch! Maybe some quality control or additional training would help? Photographs of what the food should look like for the employees? I don't know, I still love the place and hope I don't hurt anyone's feelings because the employees are amazing!
Absolutely delicious!!! Super friendly staff. Witty, and playful to boot if you're a fun person! Best burgers we've found in the grass valley area in the last couple of years!And, as long as you know you're lactose intolerant you won't have any problems with the food feeling heavy or making you feel nauseous *see their one star review for context*Also, a two star review for a place that has great food except for one item doesn't warrant two stars *see two star review for context* also maybe go to a wrap place for wraps instead of a burger place. Burgers are yummy. Smaller than Big A's down the street. Healthier . But son was disappointed at size of burger and shake.Hot dog with slaw was amazing ! Fries yummy. Didn't wait long for food like I did at Burgers and Cream. Outside and inside dining. Bathroom available. Next to laundry mat . Conveniently.
My family and i drive an hour just to eat here. They have amazing burgers and the sweet potato fries are to die for. Everything we have ever ordered has been well worth the drive, never disappointed. All the food is always made fresh and served hott. The service is exceptional. Oh i almost forgot, don't forget the side of ranch for your fries ( you will thank me later! ).
Awesome place. They do make mistakes with orders (more so in navigating the pandemic) but they have always been really good about taking care of it quickly when they do. Do yourself a favor and get the garlic fries with bacon on them...
My third visit to Pine Street burgers was a pleasant one as usual. I'm not usually in grass valley with my kid but I like to stop here if I have my kiddo with me. They have never disappointed on anything! Great friendly service, amazing food and a really nice relaxing atmosphere add up to being understanding that you'll have to wait a little bit for your order. They stay very busy as this is one of the better places to grab a bite to eat in GV.I had the habanero burger with garlic fries and it was delicious. They warn that it's really hot but it's just the right amount of heat. The fries use fresh garlic and they are extra crispy. They are definitely worth the extra $$
I grew up eating here occasionally and always thought that they had good burgers. When I came back to visit after living abroad for two years eating fun foreign cuisine and living in several other states I thought that maybe my memories were wrong. THEY STILL HAVE THE BEST BURGERS I'VE EVER TASTED. I love this incredible restaurant. It has such an incredible atmosphere and environment. The workers are kind and the food is incredible. Would recommend to anyone. Gluten free options and dairy free options. All delicious!!!
Great burgers and fries!!! It's a little pricey but well worth it. Will go back soon.
I have been all over the world, and not many places understand what a good veggie burger is. But these guys do! A good veggie burger does not need to be faked meat. As a vegetarian, the whole point is, I don’t like meat! So why do places keep trying to make fake meat for vegetarians? I don’t get the logic….But!!The veggie burger with the pecan nut patty is to die for! I wish I could buy 100 of those and have them with me everywhere I go.
