Best brunch place I'm Grass Valley. We showed up and it was not busy and no wait. Felt a little surprised it took awhile to be seated..but once we got seated, everything else was quick . Food good as always. Husband had teriyaki burger and I had fish sandwich.Vanilla malt rocks!Good children menu.No crayons or stuff to color for kids..bring ur own.

Humpty Dumpty is my favorite restaraunt hands down. A classic breakfast diner vibe with brand new clean feel. Serving the best pancakes and french toast in Nevada County. I personally have a hard time deciding if I am going to order breakfast or lunch anytime i am there after noon.All meals are portioned to feed a more than hungry person withput the overfill of substance making a good meal bland.Price point should earn Humpty Dumpty a sixth star. They are a family owned business that runs a top notch eatery at affordable prices. A staple in my eating out arsenal! Fantastic food and polite, friendly servers every time. I have tried the country fried steak and a meat lovers omelette, both were great. Burgers from the drive through are also delicious. Arrive early to dine in as it gets very busy.
The service was great, the coffee was good, and the food was good except the hash browns tasted like old oil/dirty grill, and the worst part was the same political channel on all three flat screens in the place. Politics are bad for the appetite.

Food was yummy. The pancakes were really yummy and fluffy too! The also know how to do a perfect over hard egg. The only thing that was not good was that my food was not hot. It wasn't even warm. It was legit room temp. But they were busy and I asked if they could warm it up and they apologized and happily did so. I will definitely be going back.
we had a great breakfast. I enjoyed the veggie omelette and and pancakes we also had eggs benedict prepared correctly. A bit of a wait to get in but it was worth it
Great American diner. Biggest problem, though - and why I don't go here more often - is the amount of parking and the capacity of the building. They are always busy, so you always end up waiting and often have to park down the street a ways.The food is simply good - nothing too fancy about it which is nice. Service is also normally really good, but can get slow at times if all the tables are full.
