It's been years since my last visit to Happy Apple Kitchen and I regret every opportunity I've missed to visit this fantastic establishment. Hard to find a great ambiance and a simple soup and salad. This spot has them both! Don't skip it.
I love this local spot! Family owners are always so sweet and know everyone by name. I had a yummy chicken salad sandwich on croissant and it was delicious! Seating is outdoor and everything is takeout, but the service is still awesome!

Wonderful pies and good sandwiches. Efficient and personable service. This is a bit out of the way but, if you are traveling to or from Nevada City/Grass Valley, take the Colfax Highway (Hwy. 174) from I-80 and you will come across this delightful place. In fact, this route is much better than Hwy. 49 from Auburn because it's less traveled and there are no stop lights!

Fabulous local spot. Lovely garden seating and the best BLT with avacado in town! Only problem, you have to resist their incredible fresh fruit pies.
