This is one of our MUST STOPS when we are in Grass Valley ! Which is a lot because this is where we grocery shop, supply shop , appointments what not ! I have yet to be dissatisfied with anything. Always something new - I highly recommend the coffee beans too ! Sweets and savors they have it all .. Just had the lemon meringue cake and it was delicious! Owner and staff were so nice and helpful. 10 out of 10 highly recommended.
The staff tells you, at the register, that indoor seating is reserved for vaccinated people only. Also the food is way over priced. There are too many great backers cafes in beautiful Grass Valley, to be treated this poorly.
Beautiful shop, excellent brew, and tasty treats. Plus a lovely little patio (with blankets if it gets chilly!) ~ makes for a great stop after a massage around the corner!
I just had a mouth-watering piece of Cake's lemon bus cake with meringue and raspberries on top, gluten-free so I can eat it. It was provided for an at-home birthday party. I'll be coming by to get more of what they've got.
I lived in France for 9 years and currently now in Switzerland and have eaten in some amazing pâtisseries. :) This bakery in Grass Valley is up there with the best, in my opinion. Kudos to the pastry chef! The pastries and coffee were absolutely delicious and the ambiance was charming. I will definitely return on my next trip back to CA! Thank you!
Can't pass Grass Valley without a stop at Cake! Baguette a must, 1 now, 1 for later. Have had amazing sandwiches and cookies. Last week I bought an incredible lemon cake with toasted meringue!! Love the atmosphere, staff and kudos to the owner who upholds a safe environment for all! See you soon!
Pastries were very dry and seemed left out overnight. Lady got very aggressive when my mask slipped off my nose accidentally. Extremely overpriced for the quality not to mention
Walking by on Christmas Eve morning, the spectacular baked goods in the glass case, the decorations and the music...it was overwhelming.The owner, I think, let me eat my croissant in the store. Just a fantastic experience.
I Love this place.I grow up on European style pastries, cakes, and goodies. The Cake Bakery take me back to my good old childhood.If you're into pies and country sweets, they definitely got that too, I mean it.
