One of the good options in IV for food. Wings are not too bad, but the burger is delicious. I really like the La Jolla Burger, the avocado adds a nice touch to it.
My bf and I were on our way through town riding down the coast when we stopped here for lunch. The gal behind the counter was very helpful and gave us some good recommendations. We each ordered our own burger and shared fries. The flatbread bun was AMAZING! Not too dense but not too light. It held up to the burger and the toppings. Only negative is that they were messy to eat, like quite a few good things. Will definitely stop again if in the area.
Rockfire Grill is a great burger and pizza place smack dab in the middle of Isla Vista, the college community beside U.C. Santa Barbara. Cool island vibe all around with their Tiki lounge decor and reggae hits playing in the background. The lunch special of original flatbread burger (which comes with 2 patties), fries and drink is not only the most succulent, flavorful burger you'll have in Santa Barbara County, it also won't hurt your wallet. The flatbread is a great alternative to regular burger buns, being light and crispy, so you get more burger flavor and less dough. It is apparently baked the same time your burgers are cooked, making it all the more fresh! Their in-house sauces are very good as well, perfect for dipping your fries, sandwich, or pizza in. Staff was very helpful and courteous. Nice outdoor seating area, and also plenty of indoor dining. They even have a mini stage for karaoke nights! Small-ish parking lot, and good luck with street parking. Just don't get hit by students biking on auto pilot trying to not be late for class.
Ate during the day, for lunch. Nice outdoor seating and spacious inside with plenty of seating. Stage set for bands. Typical bar expectations but with a slice of family comfort.

Nothing special about the food except the burger buns are a unique experience. Stay seemed friendly enough but only a little interaction with them. Nice vibe.
It was my birthday I wanted wings thought I would give them a try. I ordered a 15 piece with sweet chili ,garlic parmesan and plain the young man at the counter said let me go check because we are running low he came back and said no problem I asked for some mozzarella sticks as well I had been gifted a 100 bill I tried to pay then the young man uncovered a sign on the counter saying no 100 bills . I canceled the mozzarella sticks and paid with the only money I had in my checking account. The man gave me 3 small sterifoam boxes when I got home I opened them. Not wings. Nuggets and some with no chicken at all just crust. Overcooked and not what I ordered. The sauce was slopped on 5 the garlic parmesan was undetectable and the plain was just that but, not wings. I am incredibly disappointed I won't be going back or recommending them to anyone. I can't believe the slop they served me.
Long story short service sucked and the food was blah.Ordered wings and they were not wings they were nuggets or boneless wings. The fries were good! Feel like this should be modified on the menu as it is very misleading, especially if you not from here or are familiar with the place.
Incredible. Ordered the La Jolla burger and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Tried some of the wings as well and they were amazing. Would rate it higher if I could.
