Mediocre food and service, they don’t have all the menu items, didn’t let us build our own even though it said we could on the physical and online menus, and both our sandwiches were ordered on baguettes and came out on different kinds of bread. I waited for like half an hour for my sandwiches. Not worth the time or the money. I could have made better sandwiches at home for less of both :/
We were walking around in Santa Barbara and stumbled upon this sandwich shop! So glad we decided to eat here! The sandwiches are delicious and the service was excellent!!
Goleta Location.I've been twice. First time was pretty bad because they were having technical difficulties, long story but because of that I gave it a second try. I'm forgiving of long waits and mediocre hospitality, especially if the food is good! If not, well, then theres no reason to go back.There are a few expectations I have when going to a sandwich shop. One, the bread must be fresh. If the outside edges of the bread are hard, these people shouldn't own a sandwich shop. Unfortunately, that was the case here. So, like a child, I pulled off the outer crust. Messy and unacceptable IMO. The rest of the sandwich was a bit mushy and not enjoyable. I tossed most of it.The second thing i expect and often don't get elsewhere is that their meat have no nitrates. There menu claims no nitrates, I truly appreciate that.I won't go again though because there are much better options.You must care about the bread and whats in between to be a really good sandwich shop.
Took an unbelievably long time to make a sandwich while the store was empty. Turkey sandwich had basically no turkey in it and the Reuben had an inedible amount of horseradish on it. Overall really not good. Not going back. This place has been on a steady decline for a while. Looks nice when you first walk in, but it really isn’t.
We ordered online 30min beforehand and then waited an entire hour to get three sandwiches. Offered us a bag of chips to make up for it. No excuse. Super bad service. Won’t go back. Bummer!
January 2022 update: ordered online, came 30 minutes later, still waited 15 minutes. What is the actual point of this restaurant? Who has this much time to watch three guys struggle to make two sandwiches?—————Great sandwiches, great soup, but waiting 22 minutes for a sandwich isn’t really feasible as most get sandwiches on lunch breaks or in the middle of busy days. It wasn’t particularly busy when we went, so I am unsure of why the ticket time was so long.
The drinks fridge was set to 74 so the drinks are warm. The lady at the register was listening to music on her Airpods while she was taking our order, so we each had to tell her our names about four times. The food is decent. The downtown location is definitely better.
My whole family can never agree on what they like, but this was unanimous! There is something to please everyone and the food is delicious. Inventive combinations, scrumptious classics, and wide variety, all made on the spot with high quality ingredients. Everyone devoured their lunch without complaint - even my picky eater!
Delicious sandwiches with excellent service! We loved their homemade sauces and fresh veggies! We will be back again! ?
