Passing thru town, hungry and happened to find Jane….Pizza (3 little pigs) was really good, thin crust and tasty, my wife had the chicken picata also delicious.
I came in last week for dinner, and left feeling pretty underwhelmed. The food is simply not worth what you're paying. The servers were very kind however, and the place itself is aesthetically pleasing.1. The Mediterranean Pizza-- dry, tapenade way too salty, was topped with literal salad mix ... easily the worst pizza I've ever had.2. The Chicken Piccata-- underwhelming3. The duck-- bland, and "seasonal fruit and port wine reduction" did not deliver... The potatoes on the side were very good, however.4.The balsamic onion rings-- good.5. Cucumber martini-- was a hit,6. Grapefruit aperol spritz-- average.6. The coconut cake-- really good. All in all, only the dessert, the onion rings, and the cucumber drink were really worth it. There are many other places with much more flavorful food nearby. You should only come here if you need a nice-looking restaurant but can't go downtown.
Average food, over priced and horrible service. On Mother's Day I placed online order after being placed on hold for more than 10 minutes. Order was not processed when I went to pick up. I would have canceled order but my mom still wanted lunch from Jane's. Still waiting over 30 minutes to get 3 orders after they were supposedly going to prioritize order. To my surprise when I got home the salmon and hamburger were under cooked. To Jane's ownership why have online option when you are not going to honor it? Why don't you respect customers time?
They misplaced our order and took an additional 40 minutes to serve us. In that time, we saw people seated after us get bread and we did not get bread until we asked about our food and that still took a long time. The free baguette is also kind of small and underwhelming. Other than that, the bay scallop sauté salad was quite good. We also ordered the vegetarian pasta which was unobjectionable but ultimately uninspired. The swordfish special was good. Overall, the service left much to be desired, but if you have the time, the food is good, though it isn't unique.
Not sure why so many people give great reviews for this place. Having to wait 35 minutes to get your drinks served after asking for it multiple times, shouldn’t even earn one star. The manager compensated the first round, but they couldn’t even get the first round right. Their appetizer were subpar - for example, their pepper filet appetizer had four tiny pieces of meat on a plate with a pound of dry greens. Still waiting for the entrees while writing this… almost an hour into waiting. Summary: food and service were terrible. Stay away from this restaurant as far as possible.
After hearing about great food downtown, I was very disappointed in Jane at Camino Real. The atmosphere and staff are great but the food is soo bland. The burger was well cooked but was greasy and had no seasoning at all and the fries looked like they'd taken one too many trips through the fryer but skipped the salt shaker altogether.
This was such a fantastic dinner! From fast, friendly service to delicious food and scrumptious cocktails! We enjoyed our appetizers so much I forgot to take pictures until we were digging into it! We had fried calamari, panseared scallops with tomato, basil, and pesto, and the artichoke with a lemon garlic aoli. Then we ordered the swordfish special (which was by far the BEST DISH!). We also ordered the veal marsala, the chicken picatta and the linguine and classic dish. It was very delicious food. My veal marsala was a little salty but I was able to balance it out with the side of pasta and seasonal vegetables.Since I was pregnant I also ordered virgin cocktails of the ones they had listed. And OH MY!!! They were so flavorful! Ita because they have house made syrup so any of the cocktails on the menu, they could make it non-alcoholic! The mayan margarita was the best because it was spicy, and tangy with pineapple juice and it was just everything I wanted. The passion fruit mocktail was also really fresh! Then we had dessert, which was the coconut chiffon cake with creme anglaise and the creme brulee which is the BEST creme brulee o have ever had in my life, I thing because it was warm and the sugar on top was perfectly caramelized (it must have been baked in the oven and not torched). It was a great evening with phenomenal food and drinks!!!
There were seven of us eating tonight. All main courses were below par. The service was okay to start, but as soon as the restaurant got busy, our waiter got lost in the restaurant and everything slowed way down. Would not recommend, and this use to be my fave place.
The food is tasty with excellent service. Dining is indoors or on a heated patio. I have returned several times, each an enjoyable experience.
We've been coming here for 1 year, I've visited approximately 30 times. I can say this place is just amazing. The atmosphere, the service, and especially the food. I have my favorites, however, everything they do is excellent so I have begun trying many dishes I wouldn't normally order. Their cocktails are top drawer as well. Especially their bloody bourbon. Other restaurant owners should take a few pages out of their book. Well done Jane!!!
