Solid BBQ in a town devoid of such things. The brisket was tender and lightly smoked. The sweet BBQ sticky chicken was delicious. The pulled pork was tangy and bursting with flavor. I'm a fan of their meaty cowboy beans as well. The interior is humble but spacious. Can't wait to go back and try their ribs.

Stopped by and enjoyed your smoked brisket and pulled pork. Your potato salad is soooooooo much better, delicious. I, myself am a smokeoligest and when I don't feel like using my smoker or Qing, I'm going to ur place

Ordered the 2 meat combo. The brisket was pretty tasty, but my friend ordered the same thing and he received two shriveled up pieces which were all dry. The pork belly was rubbery. The potato salad had no seasoning and had black beans in it which is kind of weird. The beans side was terrible. It appeared to be tinned beans with ground beef mixed in. Totally tasteless. No Smokey flavor at all, and again no seasoning. I understand not overseasonjng everything and letting people make their own choices , but at least put a salt and pepper shaker on the tables. No beer or wine. Staff were friendly enough. I will not be back.

We were excited to have this new restaurant in our neighborhood, but were greatly disappointed when we tried it out yesterday. My husband got the ONE beef rib (for $15) and the meat was so overcooked and dry, he couldn't even chew the very little bit of meat that was on it. I had the small order of pork ribs (also $15) which were also dried up and overcooked. They also way overcharged for the mac & cheese substitution to replace the 2 included sides. We will not be back.

We waited until they had been open for a while to work out the kinks and to avoid the long lines waiting to try the new place. Maybe we should have waited longer.I had the chicken plate. The chicken was well smoked but somehow bland at the same time. The beans were full of everything (meat, onions, etc.) except flavor. Her brisket was bland, too. Potato salad? Bland. Coleslaw? Bland. Cornbread? Bland and a bit stale. The garlic bread was greasy but did have a little flavor. It was on the pricey side, even for the area. Staff was friendly enough, especially considering how busy they were. The most positive thing was the variety of choices on the menu. Overall though, it was a disappointment.

Great BBQ! This place is awesome, great staff. We had a big party and everyone loved what they got. The perfectly spiced pork ribs, the tender tri tip and the mouth watering juicy chicken were all exceptional! The sides were just as yummy, the chili beans tasted home made and the macaroni salad was great too! We will be back for sure!

My son and I really wanted to have this place Rock our worlds!Unfortunately it didn't! We went there for lunch at about 12:30 and there was four tables used and the place was empty. We were greeted by someone with no smiles who just told us to order here and they'll call our name. My son ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of potato salad. His brisket was good but needed more sauce, the potato salad was inedible due to too much Dill, and I mean a lot of dill.!I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and had the coleslaw on the side. The sandwich needed more sauce and salt and I was underwhelmed. The coleslaw was bland and again needed more seasonings. The best thing about our whole experience were the french fries they were very very good. Kitchen and front staff need training in restaurant etiquette.

I had the pork ribs and Mac and cheese with corn bread and chili beans.Everything was really good! The Mac n cheese is way better and more full of cheese than I usually find at bbq places and didn’t disappoint. The cornbread has a honey butter topping and was just right…not dry, not doughy. The ribs are long, full ones and I didn’t expect that so I ordered too much food (though I took it home and it reheated well). A “single meat” portion would’ve been enough, especially with the chili, which is very hearty and filling. Definitely anxious to get back there!

The Goodland BBQ service and food (i.e. my beef ribs selection) were excellent. I met the owner and family - great people. I would highly recommend. They have only been opened since first of March and like all of us continuously improving. Doing a great job with only over a month in business and the typical ramp up, process improvements and training needed for any type of business. Goodland BBQ will definitely fill the Woody's BBQ void now that they are closed. I had been going to Woody's for many years. Santa Barbara needed a great replacement for Woody's and Goodland BBQ appears to fill that community need. I wish Goodland BBQ all the best in their growth.

After reading the mixed reviews I was hesitant to give this place a try. I ended up ordering a 3 meet combo with chili beans and fries. I’ll start with the good, the pork ribs were solid, decent cut of meat and good flavor a little on the fatty side. They include 2 pieces of home style garlic bread. The fries were hot and tasty but they don’t give you much as a side. The not so good, I went double brisket which was disappointing. The meat was super low quality, like lunch meat section quality. The portion would have been okay if the meat quality was better. It was super dry and crumbly, did not seem like fresh bbq. The chili beans need to be fixed, they have no flavor. I’d suggest the cooks try the sides because my chili beans literally tasted like nothing. The sauce was okay but they only offer one type that leaves a little to be desired. Overall I would compare this place to chicken ranch, decent food but not the greatest value. For what it is it’s okay just not the Woodys replacement I was hoping for.
