Great pizza joint! We stopped by to celebrate my daughter’s team victory and we had a great time. The waiting time was a bit long, but the pizza was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and topics were abundant. The place was very nice and clean. I recommend Petrillo’s Pizza Restaurant. ??
Service was good, pasta portions was decent size but there wasn't much protein on the dish. Felt like I bought a family size serving of pasta for 17 dollars when I was expecting a little more meat to sides ratio. The sauce was okay, didn't have rich flavor and the Italian dressing for the the salad tasted like oil + melted butter. Good atmosphere, friendly staff will be trying a different dish for final opinion. Pricy at around 20 dollars a plate though
Disappointed that the dining room is closed and we have to order to-go only. The little order counter they built is nice, but for customers that place their orders at the counter have to basically wait outside or in their cars for their orders to be ready. In my case it was 25 minutes. Food was good when we finally made it home to eat, but it was a 30 min drive of smelling lasagna in my back seat.
[Updating review]Michael L, the manager, ended up calling my mom the night of the incident (yesterday) and expressing that such customer service is not customary or tolerated at their location. I'm glad to hear that his conversation with my mom made things right. Hopefully the service worker takes this as a learning moment on communication.Michael handled the situation perfectly, glad to get such good faith response on this incident. ??-----------[Previous review]Rating on service only.Came here with my mom to pick up an order. My mom made an order at 11am for pickup and she was told it would be ready by 2:30PM.We arrived at 2:25PM, my mom paid and one of the female service workers (long black hair in a ponytail) said the order was not ready yet. I saw the whole conversation and the service worker said she would bring the order out to the car when it was ready, so then my mom specifically told her which car we were in and where we were parked (handicapped spot, my mom has a placard). We waited in the car. My mom went back in at 2:35PM and it still wasn't ready. At 2:45PM another CUSTOMER came outside and told us they were calling out a name, letting us know it might be our order.I went inside to pick it up.When I grabbed the items and order, I told the ponytail service worker, "just to let you know, you said you were going to bring it out to the car so that's why we were waiting outside. ""I never said those words," she replied."What? I was there. I heard and saw you say that to my mom, that's why she told you what car we were in." I replied. She started to be rude and began to argue with me, attempting to talk over me and raise her voice while I incredulously shook my head and told her, "Look, idk if you have a camera in here or not, but if you do and play it back, you'll hear the entire conversation." I was not raising my voice or being rude.I was simply trying to just give her a heads up and clarify why we didn't wait INSIDE because of HER DIRECTIONS. She CONTINUED to have a horrible attitude, dismissively raising her voice, and saying "Have a good day!" extremely rudely and walking away.I walked out and briefly told my mom how the ponytail worker was lying and stating she never said she'd take the order out to the car.My mom ended up going inside as I placed the order in the car, and the worker STILL was rude, argumentative, unprofessional and confrontational. My mom left her number with the blonde service worker, who was being nice and professional, so that the manager could call my mom about this incident.I am LIVID. Pizza is good, but after this experience I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. Ridiculous service worker and inappropriate behavior.
Very disappointed in everything but the pizza. Mozzarella sticks were burned and cheese was no where to be found. Gnocchi was over cooked and lacked flavor, olive garden has better for free. The spaghetti was equally as over cooked and tasteless. Skip the "food" here. Stick to their pizza and nothing else trust me.
Ate 2 times Dinner and breakfast. In the evening, we walked home and saw a burger sign, decided to go in, it turned out to be a restaurant in our Roosevelt hotel, we ate delicious burgers and salads. In the morning we came to the restaurant for breakfast, we really liked the breakfasts, very tasty and beautiful serving of dishes, the service was excellent.
Had a mother daughter outing for dinner. She ordered the cheese ravioli and I had the spaghetti with meatballs. Pasta was delicious. Salad/bread was mediocre. Good stuff, we'll be back.
Great pizza and other Italian dishes. Dining room open only after 4 on Fridays and weekends. During the week they offer only takeout. Save yourself some time and order ahead of time.
When I lived in Southern California I was here once a week. My kids grew up on the best pizza around. Now that I've moved to Arizona sometimes when they post a special on Facebook I'm tempted to jump in the car and head to Petrillos! EVERY TIME I'm anywhere inside the border of California You can bet on bringing a large pizza and a couple of quarts of sauce back home. Keep doing what you do the way you do it! I've searched all over Phoenix since 1997 and haven't found any place They can touch you. See you soon ?
The pizza here is so chewy in a bad way. It's over priced. You would be better off going to a dollar store and buying a frozen pizza there.
