I came across this restaurant’s page on Google Maps when searching the area for authentic Armenian food. This place was such an incredible find! They only serve one entree and one dessert — zhengyalov hatz and baklava. They have a variety of drinks. The zhengyalov hatz was SO GOOD. Baklava was also delicious. I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but I’m so, so glad to have found this place and tried this delicious Armenian specialty. You must try this neighborhood gem!

I've been watching this place for a while and wanting to find the time to drop in. Today I got to have the most lovely lunch experience there. Their signature dish is a rolled sandwich of sorts, flat bread with a wonderful concoction of 12 herbs and then rolled up to eat. It is absolutely delicious. It's a hot food they make it on the flat top so the bread is toasty and the herbs warm and aromatic. It's a good size portion and I snarfed mine completely. Although it was enough food, I loved it so much I almost ordered another one so that the taste experience would never end. Along with my sandwich roll I got a pot of thyme and mint tea which is a clear glass pot filled with fresh herbs and boiling water sat over a candle to keep it hot. It is so delicious and aromatic and the perfect compliment to the roll. I'm in love and I'm going to come many many more times in the future. The service is really quite lovely and fast and everyone was very kind to me and willing to answer my questions. Do yourself a favor and try this place out you will not be sorry! It's nicely decorated, clean and spacious and a very comfortable place to just sit and enjoy a light meal.

The zhengyalov and baklava were the two items that my friend recommended to me. They both were delicious. But the items were very light and I was not very filled after finishing both items. The price was a bit high for me when I compared it to what you can get for ~$15 at another restaurant in Glendale.

Delicious 12 herb sandwich on freshly made lavash. Highly recommended!!

We the best experience, we came all the way from Texas. Absolutely delicious and great service. Definitely we will come backGood luck guys with your business

This place RocKs! Wonderful 12 green sandwiches!!

Simple and perfect!Although the main course was unfamiliar to me, I truly liked every bite. They also serve freshly brewed Cezve coffee. It's the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time!

Delish! They make one thing, it's excellent and unlike anything you've probably ever had. It costs $7.50. Have it with a friend along with tea and get baklava for dessert. A perfect place to refresh and feel glad for such generosity of spirit. Keeps well, so get some to go. You'll crave it the next day.

Zhengyalov Hatz - 5 ?Baklava - 5 ?This place caught my eye and I was close by recently so I stopped in. The decor is awesome and feels very welcoming. The staff was very friendly. When there is only one savory item on the menu and it is a popular place it is always because they know how to make that one item so well there is no need to offer anything else.Zhengyalov Hatz specializes in an aromatic herb flatbread wrap and omg, it is super tasty. The name of the restaurant is also the name of the wrap. I was surprised no sauces come with it. But I figured that was the style. I used some of the condiments on the table but this flatbread stands on its own.I treaded myself to a baklava. Also very fresh, flavorful and amazing. My only tiny regret is that I should have ordered tea. I read after my visit that a lot of people pair their flatbread with fresh tea. For next time!

It's unique and you should try it. I don't know of any other restaurant that serves, nevermind specializes in this Armenian delicacy. Bring some to your Vegan friends, it reheats well.
