Beef lule plate is my favorite and so worth it!!!! Comes with a side of Humus and Cucumber Salad! I got a side of the cabbage salad as well and it was delicious! If you want to skip the line and the wait time then just call and order ahead, it was so much quicker !
Solid food. Consistently delicious. A little stingy with the sides, weve paid for extra garlic sauce and pita and haven't gotten it more than once. The cabbage salad container is sometimes barely filled sometimes packed solid. We still come back.
The best Mid eastern food in L.A. area, I love the chicken shawerma, Hummus, tabouli, salad, I highly recommend it.
I've been coming here since. It 1st opened up . After my 1st time trying their chicken. I was hooked. It is so good . Hot very juicy and tastes amazing. The meat is so moist and their garlic sauce. Is the cherry on top . Not too forget their hummus. Is very good and blends perfectly with the chicken. If you haven't tried this place. I definitely recommend it . This was one of my mom's favorite places. She passed away in 2014 . Every time I come here. I have great memories of her and I. I know her spirit is there with me .
Love getting my fix of Zankou when I'm in the area. I usually get the Tri-tip Shawarma and Chicken Tarna and combine both for pita sandwiches. The portion of meats are quite generous. We always have leftovers. In my opinion, they are one of the best middle eastern take outs. I also get extra pickled radish and garlic to make extra pita sandwiches.
Food is tasty and they have good deals for the average Joe. Attentive employees.
For the past 15 years I have been a regular at Zankou and honestly believe their chicken is truly the best. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I have tried their kabobs as well, but the Chicken is the main attraction when paired with their garlic paste.I have to deduct one star since their prices have shot through the roof in the past 4-5 years to the point where I have cut back from my visits
This chicken is not special. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad.. it's just not special. For two plates you could buy one whole chicken and save money. The only thing worth noting about this is the garlic butter / sauce.. whatever it is it's the bomb. Too bad the chicken doesn't live up to its hype
This is the second time we have ordered on site and picked up at the Glendale location and and have gotten home to find out we are missing items. This has happened in the last year so not sure if new staff or quality control is missing but it's really frustrating to be shorted an order especially after having paid for it.
I love Zankou chicken. I always order the same thing, a whole chicken, garlic sauce, pita and a side of “pickles” which are actually pickled turnips. I often use the leftover chicken in soups or on salads, and I like the location in Glendale the best as the wait is usually quick and the food super fresh.
