May 10th, 2022. Overpriced for such a mediocre quality kabobs.It was late (around 9:30 pm) and my favorite places were closed already. So I decided to find a new spot. My decision to visit this place was based on stellar Google reviews (all 5 stars).I Ordered their borsch, and three different kabob plates: beef, lamb chops and beef lulya. I asked to substitute the rice with salads. I planned to eat some over there and take the rest for to go. Beef kabob was the best (4 stars), but still nothing extraordinary. Lamb chops were too tough, not tasty and/or tender(3 stars). Both, the beef and lamb, were covered in some spicy oil, which I did not like. The beef lulya was inedible(0 stars). I ate justa small piece, and decided to leave it. The borsch was complete disgrace. And I had had cravings for borsch after the lady behind the counter (who took my order) advertised it. The best part of the meal were the salads: quinoa avocado one, and the Armenian - tomatoes and cucumbers. The ingredients were fresh and the salads were really delish. The cabbage salad not so much but still OK.The check was for $67, which I consider too high for that quality (keep in mind that I could not eat borsch and lulya).The place was spotless clean and the service was friendly and prompt.

I recently drove from Redondo Beach with my 15-year- old to the Glendale Galleria to go to the Lego Store. After this pleasant experience, we were starving and I was in the mood for Mediterranean food. I Googled nearby restaurants and only one restaurant had 5 stars and was reasonably priced. Due to Covid we were either going to eat in the car or there were a few tables set up outside the restaurant. When we walked in we were happily greeted by the owner and seeing there was no one else eating inside, we decided to eat inside.We needed guidance and the owner ( sadly, I Forgot his name was informative, helpful, non-judgmental (did not make me feel foolish for not knowing what some of the dishes were as I am not Armenian), patient, and oh, so friendly. I walked in wanting |chicken kabob” and the Owner explained that the “Chicken BBBQ” was what I was looking for. My child and I both ordered the same thing. Everything was, dare I say, “perfect.” The portions were very large. The chicken was delicious and it even though it was white meat chicken, it somehow was so moist (I told the Owner and he mentioned his father-in-law- gets all the credit as he is the Chef). It also had that fresh grilled taste and was perfectly spiced. The rice was buttery but not over buttered. The pita was fresh (right out of the oven) and delicious and we were given extra at no cost. The hummus was silky smooth and flavored with just the right amount of garlic. I also wanted to try the baba ganoush and as soon as I tool one bite (although it was delicious), I realized there were eggplant seeds in it and due to dietary restrictions, I cannot eat nuts or seeds and when I mentioned to the Owner that I had made a mistake, he asked me what other side I wanted and he would give it to me (at no cost). I opted for more of the hummus and I was given a huge portion.The food was perfect (so fresh and it is obvious that they use top quality ingredients). The service the same. Prices were incredibly reasonable. No criticisms – one of the best meals I have ever had and my 15-year-old concurred, asking me to go again (again, we live in Redondo Beach and the Tava House is located in Glendale). We will definitely return and I look forward to Covid ending so I can throw a party and have Tava cater it.Lloyd B.
This is a place with amazing REAL FOOD! All the plates (from chicken, lamb chops and salmon) were delicious, tasty and made with love. We tried every single side-salad they have and it was a feast. . . When you start tasting the food you immediately can see that the chef is one of the best.
This place is amazing , chef who owns place actually cook all food you eat here made from scratch , great vibes and service .
