Went in Kafn feeling sad after a morning of reading about roe vs wade being overturned and all the (very attractive) workers made me feel human and welcome, that was the first time I smiled today. The seasonal menu was so unique and the latte I ordered was the most refreshing iced coffee I’ve ever had. I found my new favorite coffee shop today
I had high hopes as I pulled up on this little cafe. As I walked into this 1920s? building, I got a sense of cozy small town business. Immediately I saw a pour over station with 4 v60 ready to go. I noticed coffee beans from Unity and Onyx.....these were excellent signs! I choose a pour over using the Unity Pinto Bonito beans. Now this is train wreck started. The "barista" applied water to the filter but did not fully wet it. She placed the grounds in the v60 and poured rapidly a large amount of water to fill up the cone to almost the top, ie no bloom. They I realized she was not using a scale to measure water.. She went off to clean a counter and then came back for the second pour. After all the water passed through, there wasn't a flat bed of coffee grounds but a landslide with a sinkhole in the middle. Coffee had no taste, no flavor. I waited for it to cool down but it didn't help.....it was a terrible cup of coffee.Professionals used their time and skills to produce these beans and to have them treated so irreverently by this person was a sad sight to see.I don't know how the rest of the drinks were,, this was my first visit here. From their reviews it seems like they are doing something right. As for me, since the pour over was done so poorly, I won't be returning. Such potential wasted.
I love the artistic vibe here. The Chai latte has an amazing spice profile, and the chocolate chip cookie was very tasty with more of a layer of chocolate through the middle of it.
I really want to like this place and the lattes aren’t bad at all, but the baristas attitudes kill the vibe for me. I’m willing to give this coffee shop a couple more chances but please work on customer service. I love supporting small businesses but not if I feel unwelcomed.
I was in the area for some business and randomly stopped here because I don’t like chain char coffee. Anyhow, it’s perfection here! The coffee and specialty drinks are well made. 10/10 A+The barista was awesome!
Vegan friendly neighborhood Cafe. Sipping a Maple Oat Milk Latte.
Really enjoyed my coffee from Kafn. Not a lot of seating inside unfortunately, but there's a cute park right across from it. 30min street parking in front of cafe.
The vegan chocolate cake is SO good! Its dense, fudgy, and rich. Plus the sea salt flakes add a special touch. It's what I think the chocolate cake in the movie Matilda would taste like. 100% recommend!
Great caramel latte, nice seasonal coffee options and vegan chocolate. There’s one table and a bench to sit at outdoors.
This was my go to coffee shop when living in Glendale. Atmosphere is lovely and clean. Nice art. The coffee is A++ the lavender latte is my favorite (I wish I could be drinking one right now). Friendly staff. The baked goods also are delicious and locally made. Highly recommend!!
