I have been to Gen Korea in nor-cal and am glad to say it is consistent food-wise. Before you go expect to wait a long time if you're going on the weekend. My partner and I went on a Friday night and we had a 1-1.5 hour wait. Thankfully, my partner is not from the area so we had the Americana at Brand to entertain us. There are many paid parking options at Americana and side street parking. Once we got to dining we had many great options to choose from and were happy with all except the sirloin steak. I'd recommend against ordering that due to just the thickness of the cut. The spicy pork bulgogi is my personal favorite. Staff often checked on us and got us everything we needed. Due to the place being full of customers the staff was brief in conversation which we understood and didn't mind due to the great food. I will say that most kbbq places have smoke hoods to minimize smoke in the restaurant but that was not present here. I could see the establishment easily being full of smoke if servers are not on top of grill changes, so do not be surprised if you smell of bbq after the meal. Despite that I would say a very enjoyable experience and you will definitely be full for 27.99 each.

I love Gen!! We are from out of town, it was nice to find something familiar and it be just as good as the one at home ?

I visited this location two weeks ago and I could not believe the level of smoke in the building. I had been here once before, so I could tell this time that there was clearly something wrong with the ventilation system. The entire restaurant was filled with smoke, and it looked like the only ventilation was a fan on the ground in the doorway. By the time we finished eating my entire party's throats were sore and eyes were burning. I can't imagine what a difficult time the staff were having working in those conditions.

Waited for an hour to get a table from 3:20 pm to 4:20 pm. The place was almost empty with maybe at most 1/3 of the tables occupied since they just opened the restaurant at 3pm. And for some reason we waited an hour which is very disappointing. And compared to other Gen places, you have to ask for everything! Even those traditional small Korean salad plates and BBQ dipping sauce you would get normally from other Gen BBQ places while the cost is above average from other Gen places.. This is the worst Gen BBQ place I have been to...

It was an experience first time for me loved it just wished our waiter was more up and fun he seemed down

Everything seemed good at the front with friendly hosts...however this location quickly became a disappointment. Ive been going to different gens for several years now and usually have a good experience no matter the location. Glendale is the exception. The menu is exceptionally smaller than other locations (you only get approx 16 meat items..which is a fraction compared to other Gens-also the smallest Gen menu ive seen, which is weird), portion sizes are ridiculously smaller, they gave us a chunk of pork cheek(gen always cuts these into smaller cuts...), awkward waiter and inattentive service. I dont like to complain but this is ridiculous. When we were seated our waiter came ,tablet out and just stared at us. No greeting, no "what can I get you today", nothing. It was awkard and I felt pressured to order my meats then and there. I didnt know if he was there to ask for drinks or not. Everytime we asked for a round of food, it felt like we were inconveniencing him based on his attitude. I do hope Gen takes the time to teach their staff about customer service because this location was severely lacking . We hate to sound like Karens and understand this is a tough job but.. this lack of service will have these individuals suck at jobs even outside of Gen.

Im gonna make this quick, most Gen locations charge $19-20 per person. Here in Glendale Paying $27 with half of the menu missing, carbonated drinks unavailable, and when they brought out the brisket, it was a mere 6 slices. When other Gens locations give out 20+ Slices. The variety of the food is not worth the money and we are put out a time frame even after waiting 2 hours for 1 table.

It was not the best for the price. Our grill wasn't hot enough to cook the meat, what we could get cooked was good but not the best experience. the waiter was okay, we told him it wasn't hot enough and he didn't seem have a solution for it. Then when we were almost done he asked if we wanted to move to a different table not really sure why he waited so long to come up with a solution to the problem. The premium steak that we ordered tasted old and not fresh. This was our first time at a Korean BBQ and it wasn't the greatest experience. Probably will not return to this restaurant.Giving three stars because what we could eat had was good.

Celebrated my Husband’s 55th B-Day on suggestion to eat here from my daughter who’s been here with her high school friends. It was a fun experience with delicious options. I was nervous due to 3 guests were vegan. They enjoyed it too! Thank You

Excelente servicio, muy rica la comida ?
