El domingo 12 de junio fuimos por 30 libras de caritas y 8 pollos. Que ya se habían ordenado y “ PAGADO” 7 días antes. A lo hora de servirles a mis invitados me llevo la sorpresa que la mitad de las 30 libras estaban crudas y duras que hasta lo rojo se les veía de tan crudas. Pésimos servicio. Mi dinero se me fue a la basura, pero a los dueños se les fue a su bolsillo. Tuve que ordenar comida en otro lado .

Fantastic little restraunt. Full of activity and clearly a meeting place for the local community. I was warmly greeted when I walked in (in English if that's important to you lol) and after waiting for a few transactions it was my turn. I was on the hunt for pozole, but they didn't serve it today which is understandable. Pretty sure I saw they did have menudo though. So, I went with the standard, 3 carnitas tacos and a large jamaica. They ended up being massive lol. Maybe because I was starving, maybe it was the service and atmosphere, but they were honestly the best carnitas I've ever had. Truly LA NETA. Mil gracias mi amigos nuevos ? I plan on coming back ??

Bomb carnitas! I usually get sick from eating carnitas but never here! And their green salsa is sooooo good!!! And, the value is on point! We got a pound of carnitas, beans, rice, tortillas, and salsas, all for $35!!!

The best carnitas! Very welcoming environment, they treat you like family. Highly recommended!

Confusing set up when walking in, nobody greets you. You walk to back of restaurant to order, not very organized. You have to look for a menu, I only saw 2 that people had to share. Slow service, food is served in takeout containers. Chicken had good flavor but very dry. Carne asada was very salty, carnitas where OK but tasted of used oil. Spanish rice was blan like they used can tomatoes, bean taste like canned beans. Store bought tortillas, red and green salsa tasted similar, sour like they used a lot of lime and also a bit salty. No fresh cilantro and onions for tacos. No option for fountain drinks, either glass bottle or can soda, and beer. My order was inaccurate. Mens restroom was not working.

It's a good thing their carnitas are so good, and the staff is super friendly, because you're in for a wait ⏳️... They're under staffed for sure, but this is true even pre-pandemic.Still, if you want the BEST carnitas in the South Bay, and the surrounding areas, come to this place Wednesday-Sunday; it's worth the wait.

We have been going to Carnitas Michoacan for years. We love the carnitas, they're fresh, soft, and oh so good! They're salsas are made fresh daily. They're chicharones (pork skin) are also awesome, they're fresh, crunchy, and delicious with the green salsa. You can dine in but we usually just order 2 to 4 pounds of carnitas to take home for the family or more for a party. They do sell out quick on busy weekends, so get there early it's worth the drive to Gilroy. We definitely recommend trying them.

As always I took my time to go all the way to Gilroy from San Jose to dine at this place. I was so disappointed in the food and service. I highly recommend the place to friends for their food and the service.I order enchiladas de pollo con Chile verde.( Green sauce enchiladas) what they did was they folded the tortilla with the chicken in it, the salsa they you get to go they put it on top of the folded tacos and cheese on top. When the enchilada sauce supposed to be cooked and the enchiladas fried with oil. The sisters should be embarrassed to serve their lazy made Mexican food. They sold their shameless food to the wrong Mexican. The sisters should be embarrassed and ashamed to sell their Mexican food like that. I have to say I will never drive to Gilroy to eat at this place again.

Food is great but staff not so great. They need to lower the volume of the music by the cashier. They also need a lot more organization and a few waitresses ASAP specially on weekends when it gets crazy busy.

Good carnitas, I should have ordered two tacos and separated them with the extra tortillas into four to have more sauce with the meat, otherwise they were amazing
