I actually thought I didnt care for Black Bear but my family wanted to eat there. I decided to take them there to eat. The food was actually good and our server was absolutely awesome. She was on it! I love when service is that great. She knew what we wanted and needed before we knew ourselves. The Black Bear in my town I do not care for but the Gilroy restaurant is really good. I loved it. I would highly recommend this particular Black Bear Restaurant in Gilroy CA
Great atmosphere came into eat breakfast and was able to get seated within a good time frame. Food was excellent and staff was very friendly. Definitely won’t be the last time we stop by!
The Black Bear Diner is right next to the Best Western where we were staying so we went over for dinner. The service was great, good selection on the menu and the food was also very good.
We stopped in on a road trip and the food (and quantity) were wonderful! We’re only sorry we don’t live nearer! Everything about this delightful restaurant is just lovely!
This is my family's favorite restaurant to bring our little one to and for good reason. The food is very good, it comes quickly, the staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate his special needs. He also loves going because he loves collecting the plush bears, all of whom stay on his bed. We love Black Bear.
Two words: big portions!!!There was a 15 minute wait but it was fine. Nothing bad to complain about ?Easy to get to.Freeway is near by.
Great breakfast and came out quickly! This was my last meal before I had 4 wisdom teeth removed. I have no complaints. I enjoyed it very much.
The hugest taco salad!! It was good. I ate about a quarter of it. So yummy. Good service too

Well me and the family have been up and down California and Black Bear Diner is a welcome sight on our travels.Well before the Pandemic. Went again to the Gilroy location and the food and service is always good. Portions are huge so I order off the "light" menu. The Mini Volcano to be exact, still plenty of food. I suggest sharing if two people like the same item.Love this places motif. My son when he was little would play on top of their carved bear, I thin that is in the Salinas location. A great place to stop and eat for a weary traveler.
