I absolutely love this place. The food is indescribable. It's like a party in my mouth. My taste buds go into overdrive .If this place was a drug it would be the mother of all drugs, so good you would be up for 3 days straight. They open for dinner at 6pm. We were just there today I'm doing my happy dance.Workers of the world UNITE!
The braised pork belly is a revelation. I highly recommend ordering that. This is a great place for a small party of 2-4 people to go. Extremely busy so go early if you can-- 15-20 min before they open. Good vibes, good atmosphere, good food. Couldn't ask for a better experience.
This is one of the best places to try out yakitori in west LA. One thing you would notice from this restaurant is that they have some of the best culture and well-trained employees in a restaurant: enthusiastic, efficient, friendly and welcoming. Every employee would be welcoming and thanking you like you just did something amazing for the restaurant (fun little experience right there)! ?Anyways, moving on to the food. For those of you that don't know what yakitori is, they are basically the lite version of Korean BBQ on skewers (no, you don't need to cook the food yourselves, thankfully). Taste? They are all very juicy and tender! Here are the dishes I would recommend:- Chicken (skin, thighs, balls and wings)- Shrimp- Pork belly (with and without asparagus)- cheese sticks (This is a must appetizer)- Steak skewer (I can't remember the name but it's the priced at $5 each)- Creme brulee (if you are always up for dessert afterwards)One parting thoughts, this restaurant can get really expensive. Yes, each skewer costs $2-5 per skewer but they can add up. If you are a heavy eater, remember to keep in mind of how much you eat or you will be shocked looking at your bill. Overall, excellent dining experience and would recommend.
There is no reservation accepted ahead of time so it's first come first serve base. However, it is sooooo good that it's worth waiting for. If you didn't come early before it opens at 6pm then you would wait about 50 minutes for the first group finished dining. All the meat are so fresh and the sauce is just the right amount to tamper your pallet. The pork intestine is very hard to cook because of the tough texture; however, the restaurant makes the perfect port intestine yakitori to make soft inside but crispy outside. The plain rice ball has the crispy shell with the special fragrance of the roast rice. The store provides the fresh cut cabbage on the house with free refills which is a bonus to dine in.We came every time when we visited LA and it's always very satisfying.
Famous for their yakitori this place was like a hidden gem when I discovered it. Tucked into the corner of a small shopping center this place is authentic Japanese cuisine. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I ordered the prime beef steak plate lunch which was excellent! The prime steak was cooked to perfection and I loved the ginger salad dressing. My favourite was the potato salad, so creamy! I want to go back!
Long waiting time at rush hours (Friday night) Very warm service. Good food. Beef was tasty. People sat next to us were very friendly, chatted over the weirdly delicious spinach we ordered. (See photo attached)

The chicken plate never dissapoints i swear, sorry forgot the Japanese name for it also the shrimp fries are a must!!Love their yakitori always taste deliciousThey have a dessert as well ? .Pretty much everything they have is very good, they have a lunch and dinner special so they close in after noon after about 3hrs of opening to prepare for dinner. So just being able to be some of the lunch food is a mission in itself well worth the reward.
a welcomed surprise, we came here thinking they would serve Ramen, like the other Shin-Sen Gumis do, but to our surprise their specialty is in skewers (Yakitori) I have to say it was delicious. I had the Fried Oyster curry which did not disappoint, deep fried to a prefect crisp with a delicious curry sauce. They have a special condiment that makes every bite a bit more heavenly (see pictures). Service was fast and lunch specials are very reasonably priced.
A newfound gym for me however I think the prices are just a little high for the amount of meat you get for this still very good
