The Hot n Spicy beef noodle dish was authentic, and full of herbs and spicy, beefy flavors. The noodles (regular) added depth to the broth. This is our second time here and we love it.
Definitely worth coming in! Everything is delicious.Try the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup. Standard noodles.The Kung Pao Chicken is made with fried chicken.My cravings were satisfied completely!
Although their xlb "skin" is thicker than other places like din Tai Fung, but it still managed to still soft and fluffy through most of the meal. Northern Cafe serves up lots of comfort Chinese food not too easy to find in the area. Hand made noodle retain the al dente consistency you would want.
The service could have been better. We were ignored when we walked in, throughout our meal, and never received scissors to cut our noodles. Beyond that, the meal was absolutely delicious and authentic. You could see the chef pulling the noddles and making them fresh from anywhere you sit in the restaurant. We also ordered the bok choy and broccoli in garlic sauce (not pictured) in addition to the spicy beef noodle, pho, and pan-fried dumplings. Everything was droolworthy, but the surprise hit was the broccoli. Cooked in a clear sauce the broccoli is steamed thoroughly, but still had a crunch when bitten.If I lived in LA, I would give this place another shot. They were open on Christmas and filled with regulars. This location of Northern Cafe is located in a strip mall with other Asian restaurants so there is plenty of parking.
Handmade noodles are really good! We got steamed pork dumplings and fried noodles, both are delicious!
Wow!!! It is absolutely delicious!!! The juicy pork dumplings and cucumber salad were on spot. We tried a variation of noodles I had never heard of and they savory delicious; their spicy warning is no exaggeration, hahahaha!!! Can't wait to go back and try their other dishes.
Food was excellent! I would highly recommend the beef rolls. Service was wonderful. Portion sizes are great, definitely needs to be shared.

Fatty gross Lamb Skewer and worst chowmein of my life. Clean space, courteous service. Maybe should’ve ordered something different: but wanted simple Chinese. That was bad choice
